They'll be just 2 games behind the Lakers after tonight, have won 8 of their last 11 games. Drew even with the Jazz, evened out the season series, so it's all on Conference record between them now? (Utah lead that comparison by a game).

Lakers are at Golden State tomorrow, which begins a 4 games road trip for them.
Dallas have 3 tough home games coming up - then head to LA to take on the Lakers.

Results in those next few games ought to be interesting and go a long way towards deciding the 8th seed.

Utah have lose 9 of their last 11 and look to be sliding quickly out of the playoff picture, however things can always turn around quickly, and their remaining schedule only features 5 games against playoff teams, 3 of which are in Salt Lake City.

doesn't matter. not like they'll make any noise in the playoffs.

the mavs, like the rest of dallas sports, are done.

But they can knock the Lakers out.

Shame on you for not realizing how much it matters.

no need to worry. we'll just have to close out the season with an 11-1 record.

I actually think they're going to do it. I think the Lakers are about to have an EPIC collapse in the next 4 games. It could be beautiful to see.

@Warriors: GS needs this game to keep that 6th spot. They'll be ready.
@Twolves: Minnesota has nothing to play for, but that makes them dangerous and motivated to finish the Fakeshow off.
@Bucks: Bucks are in the playoff picture. Monta and Jennings will do work.
@Kings: The Kings are better after their trade with us. They hate the Lakers. Players always play hard against the Lakers. That won't be an easy game for Kobe and co.

Home vs. Dallas :Huge game for both
    Home vs. Memphis: Same thing
    @Clippers

Dallas has a difficult stretch as well, but they don't have the personnel drama that LA does. I hate both teams, but I'd rather the Lakers miss out altogether.

dallas will be behind lakers by half a game. on the last day of the season, the rockets beat the lakers and dallas win, ensuring their spot to the playoffs and the lakers to their deserved lottery

Why would Mavs concerned about H2H record against us? Neither should we really.

If anything, three teams are fighting for the last playoff berth. They should worry about H2H among themselves.

For the Rocket's future sake, I hope Dallas makes the playoff (I need to go puke). If Lakers make the playoffs, the already low chance Dwight leaves LA gets even worse.

Dream scenario... Dallas pushes the Lakers and Utah out of the playoffs. Memphis overtakes Denver, we beat GSW and play MEM 1st round.

I hope so too! I have been silently cheering for Jazz to outster Lakers but they are just down right awful lately. Let's see what Mavs can do!

I believe all those late game comebacks by Kobe's heroball did them more harm than good for Lakers final stretch. Kobe will singlehandedly lose more games than won. Lakers could've beat Thunder last PO. Kobe is just too tunnel-visioned when he is in his God-mode.
