Hello a friend of mine lost everything in a house fire this past monday. He is 22 and has 2 children. His home was not insured so we are having a benefit to help raise money for him and his family. He is a big Rockets fan and was actualy going to go to his first game today. I have provided the information below. Anyone in the area please feel free to show up it is really appreciated. Thank you so much!

Damn man, I can't imagine losing all your belongings and memories just like that. I hope your buddy will get back on his feet in no time.

Did he own the house out-right? How the heck was it not insured?

Best of luck on the cookout. My girlfriend had a truck hit her on 45 and broke both of her legs back in January. Still a possible risk of amputation. We've had a couple of benefits for her so far and it's amazing the amount of community support.

    Why wasn't the house insured?

Maybe just not for fire, and policies lapse every year and the banks might not get around to foreclosing.
