White hasn't damaged the game, he's damaged the image of players with mental illness. Artest along with several other players from the past showed that you could be a good NBA player while dealing with mental illness. Royce White would lead you to believe that all people with mental illnesses are invalids. He has single handedly ruined any chance that a future college player with a diagnosed mental illness would have in being a first round draft pick. He's destroyed a lot of opportunity.

Give me a guy who had one incident with fans over a guy who is a crybaby quitter like Royce ANY DAY. The fact that Artest is "still playing" is proof that he's "100 times" better than Royce. Artest makes GM's think "Well, he's crazy, but he's still a productive player", Royce makes GM's think "What a big bag of crazy, F him and anyone like him"

    See the difference?

Not so much anymore. Maybe in the past but nowadays with media you can get butchered for doing terrible things. The nba nowadays has a much cleaner image than in the past. Lebron, Durant, CP3 haven't exactly done anything criminal that I know of. Though people tend to act like the decision is a crime worse than murder and rape for some odd reason.

But yes a lot of nba players cheat on their wives, etc but you won't be able to get away with rape (Karl Malone) with today's media. Karl Malone should be rotting in jail to be frank.

I would agree but I will say this...if a player is good enough they will be drafted. Maybe not in the 1st round but I think you'll find some gamblers that pay off. I suspect there have been a few players that had decent careers that had some issues. Ron is a good example. But he's also a good example of if you produce they will work with you. Ron's gotten some good contracts since his outbreak. Name change? Odd but oh well...can he still play D?

Royce? His biggest flaw is not his anxiety issue...it's his entitlement issues. He wants total freedom. He thinks he can have his cake (cash) and eat it too (insert rim shot here). When I worked with the homeless, i found that there are 3 main reasons for the majority of male homelessness: addiction, mental illness and those that don't want to be told what to do. They don't want to be told when to get up, when to do some, where to be, etc....total freedom. Now while I can say its your life and your choice, I do have a problem when they expect others to support their total freedom. Royce expects the Rockets to support his total freedom lifestyle.

1 more year Royce...then you might want to start shopping for a good cart.

@Highway_30 you always back peddling. Yeah folks watching taking notes. No wonder you're so vague. Don't want your words to backfire on you.

Why are you even following him on two different accounts? Ignore his existence on twitter and your life will get that much better. You have to remember, he hasn't done anything to warrant you following him. Quite the opposite, actually.

    That was pretty good.

Well, he's a rocket and Stern loves to give the Rocket's Hell months.

I guess he wouldn't have survived the month of January. where the Rockets only had 5 home games and frequent road trips. There would have been no #consistency then.

Not sure what he wants or expects...for the team to make the schedule friendly for him?

The Rockets had so many B2Bs that month I remember, he would have had to be on a plane for most of the month...just looked, 5 b2bs that month...and since the team was mostly on the road one would assume they were mostly in hotels. I'm sure they got a few days home, but then there is no consistency in that schedule, just from one city to the next.

Can Royce do that? Is that the problem?

Or is simply being in the Dleague the real issue here and he's trying to guilt his way onto the main roster.

He should have stayed in school, he's not a professional caliber player, but he could have helped his college team this year....if he actually played that is.

Wow. What an idiot. She was asking him what the issues were and to be more clear but guy is being a moron. Kept being vague and ignoring her questions. How anyone can keep backing this guy now is beyond me.

That was entertaining, and enlightening. I was trying to convince myself that he was an idiot, but in the end wanted to play basketball. With about 5 references to ADA law, I guess the pessimists are correct. He wants to sue for whatever he can get and play video games for the rest of his life.

Unfortunately looking that way. The guy is not looking to play bball anymore, he is for the money.

I don't really hate the pick at the time but seriously, the pick has been a disaster so far.
