    Kobe had Artest wide open for a corner 3 but instead took the shot and bricked it. The next possession Artest tried to take it to the basket, guessing that he was angry Kobe overlooked him, gets called for a charge. If Howard is smart he would ditch this group of individuals.

    No, I heard the LA commentators saying that too but I think it was better to take the chance they did. If they missed the FT on purpose they would only be up 2 pts and then they would have a chance to get a BS foul call going for the rebound to possibly tie up the game and go to OT.

    You miss and let LA grab the rebound, don't even fight for it. With 1.5 seconds left, they'll have to take a 90+ foot shot. That's better than giving Kobe the look he had.
