As someone had pointed out earlier, the south of the country is much better than the north. So if you visit India, visit the southern states . Maybe your view of the country will become slightly better (not much though i guess)

And all the problems in India (like any other developing nation) can be summarized in one line - too many people chasing too few resources

 

India is not a good place right now for a white woman, or really any women that aren't familiar with the culture already, and have a past there. Without that any woman is not safe there. It seems like these stories aren't nearly reported on, as they should be.

This is pretty much the case in north of India (Delhi etc). The southern states are much better and safer for women.

The rape stories are getting a lot of coverage because of the brutal gang rape and protests that ensued a few months ago. All of us are hoping that this will prompt the lame ass spineless government here to take some action and enact tougher laws.

 

This begs the question: why does the north of India have these problems while the south doesn't?

 

I think it's due to education. The South is the more educated part of India. Places like Chennai are supposed to be the intellectual centers of India. Maybe the_hustler can attest to this, but that is what I was told when I used to work there.

Places in the South like Tamil Nadu and Kerala have very high literacy rates. Kerala has a literacy rate of almost 100%.

You don't see **** like this in China when guys to girl ratio are much worse. But China will **** you up for even lesser crime so India need to be much more stricter.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if china has the same problem, just like India there are probably thousands of unreported cases.

 

Oh another thing. I'm pretty sure you can also blame Bill Gates. Easy access to p*rn over the internet in India would probably be another reason for the rise of perverted Indian boys.

You hit the nail on the head. India's north is notoriously undereducated and is plagued by men who attest to ancient tribal rituals. Men in the north are Bigots and to top it off many are uneducated. I liken it to the mentality present in the deep south here in the US.

The south on the other hand is booming, when i visited there during a project in my undergrad i saw lots of middle class wealth and equality.

But IMO the bigger exposure to western culture has also negatively affected India's youth, and I can imagine that many pervy indian males are being born as a result.

 

When you stick 1.2 billion people in a country about the size of Alaska you're bound to have a few problems.

Lol when it's all said and done both of those places are terrible. Having money is a moot point, because if you have loads of money anywhere you can do whatever you want.

I'd rather not go to either.

Also, most indian guys look funny as hell and are overall incredibly unattractive. So that's also probably a knock on you guys.

Luckily there are some pretty hot Indian chicks. Well, obviously not the general ones, but the pretty ones tend to be exceptionally pretty.

 

Ouch that's not nice to say I've seen plenty of Indian guys who aren't "unattractive". Well mostly here in the us though I'm not really sure how they look in India as its been a while since I've gone

But that point is moot there are plenty of ugly mofos in every race and creed. The key is getting those mofos some putang so they don't go around raping everyone.
