I think he's just not used to catching and laying up in an instant. Those passes usually NEVER go to him so when he finally got it, he probably didn't know how to stop his momentum and panicked.
If he was any good at offense, he'd be worth a hell of a lot more than 8mil/year. He's still an absolute bargain right now even with his deficiencies.
We are +4.9 with him on the court and -0.5 off the court. His offensive follies are worth putting up with. He's our most important player. If he's playing well, the Rockets are usually lights out, game over, mark it down as a W.
Someone should really look up the difference in conversion rates between Lin's passes to Asik and Harden's passes to Asik. The only ones I see him constantly bobble and mishandle are Lin's passes. Lin puts no priority (maybe he's just incapable of doing so) on making accurate, timely passes where all the big has to do is catch and finish. Harden on the other hand is a precision passer and usually the only time the passes fail is if it's tipped by a defender, which is difficult to do. Lin seems to be noticeably weak at throwing passes off-the-dribble, especially bounce passes.
This guy... must be forgetting all those times Harden was grilling Asik for bobbling consecutive feeds from him.
Lol you know what we should start? A rockets fail thread where all thier dumbass mistakes can be posted so we can cringe and laugh
Lin & Trob were on shaqtin a fool last week for those botched layups. Omer was on it before for scoring on his own net & greg smith before for the randomly tying his shoe laces during the game.
I didn't say it was impossible for Asik to bobble a pass from Harden (straw man argument, good one, bud). I'm sure CP3 has thrown passes Blake has bobbled. I'm saying let's set Asik as the constant. I guarantee that he has bobbled more passes from Lin than he has from Harden. I'd bet my house on that.
You can even use rates too. I guarantee Asik will have a higher total AND a higher rate of bobbled/mishandled passes from Jeremy Lin than James Harden.
