Too flawed at the time of his sudden rise to fame, perhaps. No player that wasn't already an existing commodity at the time would have been able to do what Jeremy Lin did. That's the important thing to point out, which I noticed you didn't do.

His ballhandling skills have improved this year. He's taking better shots, making better decisions, and has a more veteran approach to the game than last year. He will never be the best ball handler or faster player in the league, but his strengths - body control, PnR awareness, willingness and ability to pass, size - are more than enough to make up for his weaknesses you consider "too flawed".

John Wall averages close to 4TO per game for his career and even now is having games with sky high TOs but I don't see people knocking his ball-handling.

Also whats all this talk about lack of speed when it's already been established Lin's one of the fastest guys out there.

Harden's usage currently is the same as Lin's last season only he's averaging more TOs than Lin did and has a larger percentage of ball handling or "lost ball" turnovers than Jeremy this season. Does Harden also have suspect handles? Gimme a break.

I'm pretty sure its been established that Lin's speed is one of the fastest in the league. Can people stop saying he lacks speed.

This was before the draft, where no one picked him. his numbers were recorded at the Portsmouth Invitational. His top speed is close to Drose and Irving. Lin is basically recovered from his surgical repair. You can see the difference when he runs down the court, players are still turning in half circles and hes already flying to the basket.

yup... Though he needs to improve on changing his pace on a dime when he tries to penetrate. He currently only has one speed when he drives. All the great scoring guards can chance pace on a dime.

I never said you were racist.

I'm just pointing out that of the several threads I've observed, you seem to post incendiary comments of facts that were already beaten to death, and that it's not even all posts about Lin than ANY thread comment that you can make people riled up about.

Also, pointing out that this is fairly incendiary and proves my point.

Except not only is it gay-bashing, but it doesn't work because I'm female.

Just google racist and clutchfans and ten million Lin threads come up. It's inevitable.

It's not incendiary. It's what I see. Why is it you guys can bash the whole team, but Lin is untouchable? Do you not see how pathetic it is to root for one player in a team sport? That's called being a groupie. The sad part is 95% of his fans probably never followed the NBA and just follow him cause he's the same race as them.

Why do people who are not even fans of the Houston Rockets post here? You're all the trolls. You're looking for the Lin forums, not the Houston Rockets forum.

It's the truth. Everybody's thinking it. It's not baiting. I've read through this place for some time and it's turned absolutely toxic since we got Lin.

You can look up my posts, I've never bashed the team and root for all of them consistently with the exception of Cole and Royce White and Patterson at the beginning of the year. I've also never bashed McHale, though some of his rotations confused me, but I've frequently given him a pass. I've also never hid that I am asian.

I think that 95% of the fans you're talking about is less of a percentage than you think it is. However I also fully admit that that group includes my dad. The fact of the matter is that I grew up watching the Lakers at it's golden age, and my family follows basketball, but that I quit for a long long time because I got sick of iso-ball.

My dad was totally against the Harden trade in the beginning, didn't understand Asik, and I had to convince him that it was awesome that Lin was going to Houston and that it'll work out well. Also to break down pnr to him as well as various plays and what to look for on defense; and you know what, he's learning.

Wouldn't it be more productive for you to teach instead of to tear down?
