The President is in Israel visiting the Israelis and that's your comment considering what you've said previously? Hypocrite much?
so, what exactly did he accomplish? He's trying the same BS he does in the US -- campaign to the people instead of actually work for a solution. It's the lazy way out
How was that hypocritical? Talking to a troubled ally's leader is important. He should be talking to Netanyahu every week. Just as others in thread have stated. This was meaningless not 'historic'.
Lol, took it from a source completely against Netanyahu as PM. As much as I'd like peace there, against the source's opinion, one speech isn't going to cut it. The problems there go a loooot more deeper than some speech can address. Let's stay away from the historic speeches stuff lol, let's see if he can improve relations. We need Jimmy Carter for this!
who knew, this conflict has been just a big misunderstanding all the sides needed was for Obama to explain things to them
Some of you guys are one of two things: ******* or naive I think it is great Obama is doing what he does best, speeches. Any major movement usually has a great speech tied to it. Do I personally think it will help any? I hope so but anything beyond a great speech Obama has shown time and time again to make no good progress and accomplish little to nothing great. Your an ******* for thinking 'oh he talked again' but your naive to think it is historic. Your also giving one editorial perspective, I wonder if the speech/reception was even that good compared to another perspective (though I happen to believe it was, Obama is a good talker) In the long run this accomplishes nothing major whatsoever. Obama just doesn't seem to go past the speech. He is like the basketball player who plays pretty damn good all game long but doesn't and can't turn it up a notch in the 4th quarter and they end up losing. You also have guys who usually are ok but nothing great who become 4th quarter beasts You also have your superstars who are great all game and also turn it up a notch in the 4th to solidify the win, that is not Obama. Obama has perfect form it seems with his jump shot, then you find out he has no follow through and he misses.. but damn that form was great.. if he would just follow through ;(
for those butthurt about how a speech doesn't do anything, flashback to a president who keeps his word (and hell, I disagree with how cozy he's getting, but the man keeps his word)--- http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/07/30/ehud-barak-sings-praises-of-obama-administration/
haha. Oh a medal? Well that's meaningful. Peace must be right around the corner. medals and speeches; these are not how you judge a man mark.
