Anyone got a link? Houston is winning at halftime, 37-31. I'll watch UH-UT right after the Rockets game is over.
Thank you U of H!!!! This might just get Barnes fired! I am shocked UT accepted the CBI invite, and really was happy to see us lose.
As a UH graduate, it makes me sick to my stomach that the team is playing in this tournament. I can't believe people are actually excited to get a win in the CB-freaking-I. They're too talented to be playing in the CBI. Are you kidding me?? I'm embarrassed to even acknowledge that I went to UH.
relax dude, we haven't been relevant in quite awhile...this team is young and has talent...i'm giving coach dickey one more year...i was there last night, good atmosphere
Shows how much pride you have in UH.....and over a basketball gm? You said you "went" to UH. Did you graduate from there?
They beat the evil empire of the lone star state known as the University of Texas. Anytime U of H defeats UT in college football, college basketball, or college baseball, it's a big deal. I still think the 2011 Cougars football team that went undefeated and was close to playing in the BCS can beat the 2011 Longhorns.
When is Barnes going to get fired. He is bad at coaching just good at recruiting one and dones and second tier ones at that.
Yes I graduated there and I'm not ashamed when asked. I had a ton of school pride and still do, but I'm not delusional. I'm not embarrassed about the school..just the fact that people are celebrating a win in the CBI. I don't give a damn who they beat. With 3 players that could be playing for any big program and a soft ass schedule, you should competing for a CUSA championship. For a team with such rich tradition in basketball, to make the NCAA tournament ONCE since joining CUSA is down right shameful.
I honestly don't care if they beat anyone in college baseball. I don't have a hatred towards Texas that I guess I'm "supposed" to have. I have a ton of friends that go to UT...with that being said, if this was a meaningful basketball game or a football game, yes I would be stoked if UH won. You mean the 2011 team that lost in the CUSA title game? Um...I think they could beat UT but whenever you have a team that can't play a lick of defense (UH), you can lose to anyone (Southern Miss). And yes, I know Kevin Sumlin leaving had a part to do with it, but that defense was suspect all season and it finally caught up with them.
The one thing you can say about this team is that they get up for big games. It's a sure sign of a young team, but they definitely play with more intensity when they are playing better or more famous opponents. The problem is when they just stop playing against average teams, as was the case in c-usa all year.
That means that'll do we'll in big east cause the teams aren't all avg so they'll have to show up.. I hope so!
I happened to have the obscure *** cable channel this was on AXS....like 647 or 643 on Comcast. The officials swallowed their whistles at the end of the OT and let GM hold on despite trying to choke it away. The only reason I wanted to see the Cougs advance is I think it lets them get in more practice time. We were like 1-16 from distance before Young hit a couple. The bright spot in the game is Valentine Izundu looks like he might be a useful player next year if he can learn how to shoot a free throw.
