MT is going bezerk with all this royce drama. I don't think it embarrasses the organization. 16th pick is a project to begin with. You can't hit on all of them.

 

Wait a minute, I just figured it out. He found out Terrence Jones was being sent down, realized he was headed to the bench, so he left. It makes so much sense now.

 

My theory: Maybe Clutch is retiring at the end of this season and the team is grooming White to be his replacement.

 

Voiding his contract saves them $1.7 million. I think they'd much rather salvage value for him. That's why they've been non-committal. And this is a class organization. I don't expect they'll ever trash him. At this point, trading him for a future second rounder would be better than simply voiding the deal.

 

No way this guy will ever make it to the NBA. No way.

He's a locker room cancer. One that can't even hack it consistently in the D-League. Make him sit out the remainder of his contract while working at Applebee's.

Well if it were up to me ...he wouldn't get a "next year". How about this year? Dude did virtually nothing in the way of "work" this year. Summer league and a few D-League games doesn't constitute a damn thing. He's excited to get to work? WTF? This guy treats himself too well. He's scared of hard work.

 

Who in their right mind would give up a future 2nd rounder for Royce? What team? What GM?

Haven't we learned the lesson this trade deadline that picks (1st or 2nd) are going to be more highly valued as the league moves forward?

 

Well is he going to practice with the Rockets, at least?

 

Probably several if we sent them $2 million to take him. And you might get Dallas or Minnesota to take a flyer on him for a second without the cash.

 

Could be that the team didn't want him taking up valuable minutes that Jones will be getting in RGV. Sounds like the Rox have just completely written off this year and are getting whatever doctor is working with White to try to get him mentally ready to attempt to contribute something next year. Personally, I don't think it's going to happen -- he simply has no burning desire to be an NBA player, and with his lack of skills, desire is a huge necessity.
