Didn't we blow them out the first time we played them in Houston? And Lin & Harden's playing great in that game too. Lin 15p 11a Harden 31p 8a
Very true Jay. Between Tony, prince & Conley I am scared for Lin, Harden man. I swear they are going to lock Lin & Harden up & dare Dmo, Omer, Parsons & Delfino to beat us & it likely won't be pretty. Ughhh. I am literally dreading it lol.
Rockets 2-0 against them this season, so Memphis is beatable. However, it's every hard to sweep a good team so you would expect at least one or both losses to end the season series.
We need consistent production from Parsons and hopefully a little bit from the PF position. Without them, I think they'll roll over us unless Lin and/or Harden became some kind of supermen. I also hope that the coaching staff can make the adjustments needed though I have some doubts regarding this.
The regular season is nothing like the post season. Remember when Chicago went 4-0 against Miami & Bulls fans were like the heat were beatable. Remember what happened in the post season? Yeah Miami crushed Chicago. Regular season wins mean nothing in the playoffs. Also Memphis is a much better team after they got rid of Rudy Gay.
Huge win for the rockets. We can't celebrate yet though, and I definitely did not like seeing the rockets letting them get back in the game late. But if we can beat Cleveland and have San Antonio beat Utah Friday night, then we just have to hopefully steal one home game against San Antonio or Indiana to avoid any late season collapse.
Memphis is beatable for sure. Rockets needs to force them to play at their tempo like they did when they blew them out. Gasol and Z-Bo simply don't have the gas to play at that pace. Need to take every opportunity to get out and run in transition or on the break.
Lin has been playing very well lately. And some people thought Lin and Harden couldn't play together. No one should complain about McHale going with a small lineup. It's clear that PF is a huge weakness right now. I am happy to see McHale giving D-Mo and TRob as many minute as possible, because they need the minutes. But, when the game is on the line and we need quality players on the floor, I don't blame him for going small ball with Delfino. Hopefully D-Mo and TRob will make some progress over the next month.
PF posistion is in serious turmoil, shaky as it can be. Morris would look like a superstar by comparison.
Yea I still remember in the beginning of the season a lot of people questioned whether Lin/Harden ever gonna work.
When Lin got hot hand in the 3rd quarter, instead of taking him out of the game, Mchale should have let him play on for a couple more minutes and then have rested him a bit longer in the begining of the 4th quarter. In this way his playing minutes would probably be the same and he could have scored a few more points in the 3rd quarter while he got hot hand. Mchale's game plans and rotations have been an issue all season long. Nevertheless, a win is a win. Rockets fans should be happy. Aften winning in the end is always the 1st priority that actually counts.
D-Mo is just putting too much pressure on himself. He should relax and enjoy the game. You can see he grows visibly frustrated when he starts missing his shots.
Well the combination has been looking very good as of late. It was great to see Lin pick up the slack when Harden went cold in the second half, and then both closed it out.
