Mmm... I don't think that was planned. I'm sure McHale was just hoping to ride the bench to victory after Jazz folded... but instead the bench let them back in the game.
Our role players are stinking right now, but if Lin keeps shooting like he is and our role players get out of their slump we can be a dangerous team. Of course thats a big if.
I would add the last Pheonix game in as well, he didnt have huge numbers, but only played 26 minutes since it was a blowout. but during those minutes he played extremely well.
is he still injured with the ankle or something? I was thinking the same thing. I like Smith but we should see what Olbrecht can bring....
Response No way Rockets will get past the first round unless they average 45% from 3 points line during the entire series; Rockets have just too many weak spots on D. Anyway, given that Rockets were never expected to make it to playoff, they will gain some post-season experience.
folks, what did you expect? We would just roll over the Jazz, who just beat the Spurs last week. Cheer up. We lead the entire game and had a few hiccups, but that happens in almost every NBA games. You guys are pissed that we didn't the blow the Jazz out? Here is a news for you, the next game aginst the Cavs is not a given.
What about Lin keeps getting blocked on his layups. It's tough to drive to the hole and then you get a turn over. I know Harden is a little bigger than Lin, but Harden either gets a bucket or goes to the line when he drives. To me it is the single deference separating Lin from Harden, as one is good and one is great.
The coaches really need to find away to make the second units more efficient offensively; otherwise, the playoff run won't go deep.
yeah that is understandable. Why doesn't Mchale like to play Lin with the second team; especially when there is no one out there to score AND when Lin is having a very good night driving to the basket?
This coming weeks' game with Spurs, Pacers, Grizzlies, and Clippers will dictate what sort of threat Houston is. Rockets is not out of the woods by any account. 4 straight losses to those teams will mean bad things.....However, getting 3 or more wins out of that group will stabilize the Rockets position moving forward.
This team needs better plays down the stretch than "Kick it out to Robinson and D-Mo for 3 .... they're ice cold and bound to get hot in the clutch..." Seriously, those guys are better off posting up or cutting baseline. Not jacking up 3's when the Jazz know they are the lowest FG% on the floor.
