Maybe this belongs in the Hangout, but thought this was amusing. This was 30 minutes ago or so from the pregame interview before the Rockets game against the Utah Jazz on 3/20/2013. McHale said he doesn't read the newspaper, and jokingly was asked later if he doesn't read it, could he at least buy the paper (to support the industry). McHale responded, "Everything's online now, by the way." Also another meltdown by a reporter when McHale didn't give him enough respect for the question.
I find McHale's personality to very obnoxious. He's lucky that this group of Rockets are functioning well together. He would have been let go a long time ago if our record was bad. Yes, obviously, I'm not a fan.
That's hilarious. Seriously, people who ask stupid questions deserves answers like that. Personally, I would just as quickly fire a "nice" coach where the team is dysfunctional as I would keep an "obnoxious" coach where the team is playing together. I really could care less if the Rockets coach is someone I'd hang out with. Same with players, same with GM/front office guys. I just want success.
