i've been reading this forum for quite a while, and i remember people saying celtics made a mistake in offering Jeff Green the contract. I believe he's making around 10 million per year.

Ever since Rondo's injury, he has been playing a lot better. And no, this isn't a knee-jerk reacting to his career night against Miami.

I think Jeff Green has all star potential, and can average 16-20 ppg once Pierce retires.

$9mm is a lot to pay for a backup, and Green's contract will almost be up by the time Pierce retires.

So no, Green isn't worth his current contract.

Still no. Nobody else would've offered him what they did.

No one good game doesn't change the fact that he is overpaid. He does not have all star potential either. Considering he has been in the league so many years and is 26/27.

Yes, it is. This thread would've never been made without that fluke game.

Lol so if you have ONE game with 40 points you're worth your contract :p

Even tho he has been under preforming..

Remember when Al Harington had 50 points off the bench once? Give him max!

Jeff Green is a solid guy. He might make a few all-star games. Probably worth $8-12 Mil.

i think he could be better than Parsons, if you gave him the same minutes

his defense on LeBron was what impressed me the most from that game, and he can handle the ball and attack the rim like Lamar Odom

He's been pretty good since Rondo went out. IF he can keep doing this, he might be worth that salary. Ask in a year.

I'd be stunned if he becomes an all star though.

So Jeff Green is almost at Rudy Gay's level?

Jeff Green is pretty good and pretty underrateD on this board. It's like this board has a ''culture'' of ''hating'' or putting down some players such as him or Rudy Gay for exemple. Green would be perfect at the four for Houston really, he can drop some monster game (like against the Heat the other night), drop some monster dunks, plays pretty good defense and still pretty young. It is crazy how most people on this board are in love with those advanced analytics stats to a point that they don't even watch the players play but base themselves on PER's etc...

He's a nice player. But he's basically been the same guy since his second year in the league, and he played three years of college ball without ever looking like a real star. He's not going to make the jump now.

Doesn't mean he isn't good. He can score a little, rebound a little, defend multiple positions, and generally play within himself. He'll have a long, productive career.

But he's just a nice player.
