You'll have to research it dude. I'm not sure where, but there are resources on the interwebz to find houses to rent for a weekend. More than likely they'll be beach or lake houses that will be more expensive... Good luck on finding something in town for cheap... besides like renting a couple of motel rooms next to each other. We partied crazy our prom night, after the dance we drove to Brenham right after to a friend's lake house. Honestly, it would be a lot easier if your buddy had some cool parents.....
I'm not a dancer but my prom was pretty fun and I had a hot date. I always recommend people to go to their senior prom but the ones that don't want to go that I have known are usually losers. Sorry, I had to say it.
I have mixed feelings about prom. I got a girl pregnant from my prom. She wasnt even my date, she was my friend's date. They didnt seem to connect so instead i went to the after after party with her instead of my date. Ive been with her since for the last 11 years. We have 3 kids now. My friend stopped talking to me after he found out what happened. Such is the life of one crazy night at prom.
Looking back prom really was nothing special. Just getting all dressed up and wasting a bunch of money. If you really wanna do it "big" just do a one night thing, not two nights.
I had a blast at prom. Mostly due to the fact that I went with the hottest chick I have ever known. Didn't score tho... but still had a blast. Renting out a house for a 30-people orgy doesn't sound too interesting, but to each his own.
Or didn't go cause of religion. And I had one friend who was a "Jock" and almost made the Xavier basketball team this year and their coach said try next year who didn't go to prom either. I doubt that its always the losers. (I went to a school where it was barely 66 seniors, so we expected it to be boring anyways.) I'm not even mad I didn't get to go but when I tell someone, they Are always telling me that I missed out. Did I really miss out? What happens at prom? you dance with your girl and what not.. You can do that at other parties and clubs.
Damn. That is heavy dude. Props to you guys for making it work for 11 years despite a bad beginning, and I hope things continue to go well. I didn't even go to my prom. I was flying in from Dallas (oh, fun) and would have been too late to ask anyone to go with me. So I just went to an after-party. It was pretty fun, but I got no booty that night. It's probably for the best, though, as I was an awkward high schooler, and I wouldn't have known wtf I was doing. Hell, I still don't!
lol don't listen to the dudes in here bro. I'm 25 years old, so I still remember my prom pretty well. the only ones who didn't go were the ones who couldn't get a date, so they played it off acting like it was cooler to stay at home and play Warcraft while downing as much mountain dew code red as they could. Prom is a right of passage, and the after-party too. It's hard to find a place if you don't got a homeboy or homegirl who has like a beach/lake house, because most people aren't stupid enough to rent a place like that out to a bunch of underage (drinking) kids. Weak I know, but sensible on their part none the less. What I will tell you is the keep in mind the basics. Make sure you don't let friends bring other friends. Nothing ruins a good party like shady people rolling up you don't know. Also, of course, when people get there make sure they are there for the night. Last thing you want is someone going on a beer run and having cops tail them back, only to bust your party. If all else fails, go get a couple suites at the Omni or Double-Tree. Somewhere where they don't have paper-thin walls and lots of space. If you do it right, you won't want to do it again the next night. Best of luck to you in your pursuit of epic debauchery.
Semi strict Muslim Parent with a Catholic Parent to boot. I told them I wanted to go, they had no issues since they trusted me. In all honesty I had a dime with me that night. Wasnt even fun doe. But I will not lie, she was just eye candy to take, didnt even interact with her that much. I was all about hanging with my crew and she was all about hanging with hers.

I'm 23 years old, went with my very serious girlfriend at the time. And I agree with the guys on here. There isn't a day that I look back and go man prom was great. The only time I even think about it is times like this when it gets brought up. And even then its just like oh yeah, well that was alright.
well, we had Trae (the truth) perform at our Prom...soo I had fun. I mean I went with my gf of 2 1/2 years to Prom, not like I was just laying pipe left and right. I don't know. Not that I think this is the case with you, but I think some people just want to make Prom out to be some old-fashioned/ no-fun / formal gala type deal. Personally, I like dressing up and getting suited & booted. All the girls spend like the entire day to get ready. It's just alot of effort and time to put into something, might as well tell yourself you're going to enjoy it.
