Didnt see a thread about this

    http://www.csnhouston.com/basketball-houston-rockets/talk/rockets-terrence-jones-back-practice

For the first time in weeks, Terrence Jones was back at Rockets practice on Tuesday.

Jones has been battling a sprained left thumb. He was still wearing a wrap.

Jones was one of the Rockets' three first-round picks in 2012. In 11 games this season, Jones has scored 34 points and has gathered 18 rebounds and has dished out six assists.

If Jones is given the minutes he deserves, I wouldn't be surprised if he was starting or at least getting the most minutes at PF

I don't think he'll get an opportunity to earn minutes this year. Mchale is already beyond his comfort zone by having to play DMo.

Where are the posters who wouldn't shut up about how McHale doesn't play Jones?

He and Robinson should fit nicely together on the second unit if they get on the court at the same time. From the summer league and RGV he looks to be solid but will drift off into ineffective at times. I hope this is not who he is but just some growing pains. LOOKS to have the skill set to play all three front court spots. I really hope he gets some playing time this seasons . I am a fan of his and wish him only the best. He MAYBE the answer we need for the second unit. Less Delfino at the 4?

Maybe, but I am sold with Jones. When he exerts himself he has looked the most NBA ready of any of our rookies (small sample size though)

Hope he rebounds and defends. Knock down a few mid range shots every once in a while.

Ya, makes a lot of sense to totally play a guy who hasn't earned minutes the entire year... There is a reason he didn't play earlier. Why don't people understand this?

Im one of them. I just want him to get a chance. He paid way more dues than Robinson and im talking about before he got hurt. I know he is not going to get on the court and be an MVP but I would like to see what he can do with a fair amount of time before we trade him. He cant do worse than T-ROB. For the record I havent gave up on him either.

    Jones won’t be extremely active

Rookie Terrence Jones, who has been going through full workouts and returned to the active list for the first time since he sprained his right thumb last month, practiced Tuesday, but there are no plans to alter the power forward rotation again.

“We’ll see,” coach Kevin McHale said of working in Jones. “Right now, we’re trying to throw like five new guys in with 15 games to go. I’m not sure that’s a prudent thing to do, but we’ll see.”
