Thank you. I think the Heat was thinking of this streak at the beginning of the year instead of the 22 game winning streak.
None of the Heat players, except perhaps Battier, read CF. So they are totally ignorant of the '90s. I seriously doubt that it even entered their mind at all.
The heat streak is a joke. Look at who they played. Watching the game last night, the announcers were speaking of how hard is to beat sub .500 teams (magic, sac, cle, Charlotte) Give me a break. Compare the pacers record. #2 in the east with a losing record to .500 teams. Gtfo with this 'streak is amazing' talk.
I actually agree with you for once I don't know how people can actually say the winning streak was more valuable than a championship.. it was sad..
Yeah they've played 23 bad teams in a row Good job NBA schedulers! 23 is impressive no matter who you play. If they played the Wizards 22 times in a row they'd be able to pull out a few wins. There's no guarantees in the NBA
I'm disappointed. The only streak that matters is the one that started the season of our first championship
IIRC, we played some pretty weak teams during our streak too. And apparently the Rockets have a hard time beating sub-.500 teams, lol. Their streak is impressive no doubt about it. They are the heavy favorites to win their second championship in a row. Great team.
Do you know that if they had a 90% chance of winning each game, which is an extreme heavy favorite odd, they would have 9% chance of winning 23 in a row. If the odd of winning each game was 80%, still extremely heavy favorite, the chance would be 0.6%. This is how impressive the streak is. This is how impressive OUR streak was.
All I know is that in 2004-2005 we were the 6 seed playing the 3 seed mavericks. Tmac was a monster in this series. We won the first two games on the road and Tmac hit the game winner in game 2 and baptized Shawn Bradley. At that point, Cuban realized he couldn't stop Tmac and he started barking at the league and paying off the refs. The refs then stole that series from us. Tmac and Yao could not carry our team of scrubs against both Dallas and the Refs. Tmac averaged 30 points per game in that series, 8 reb, and 8 assists. Our starting lineup during this series was as follows, and no this is not a joke, look it up: David Wesley Bob Sura Yao Ming Tracy Mcgrady Scott Padgett With Mike James, Ryan Bowen, Jon Barry, and Deke coming off the bench. We had no business taking this to 7 games but Tmac had the heart of a champion and he carried these scrubs to a near miracle in his first year in a Rockets uniform.
boring troll attempt trolltown. The Heat are trying to win back to back titles. I believe LeBron is determined like Hakeem was during the championship years.
