I can't help but feel that Spoelstra isn't as good of a coach as people seem to think he is. He has an incredibly talented team that makes him look good. This Heat 23 game winning streak isn't because of him in my opinion. So, do you think Coach Spo is a good coach?
Yes you don't win 23 straight games and execute well in the clutch without being a good coach. He is no Popovich or even a Doc Rivers but he is pretty good.
Yes, even if he isn't the greatest, he's still a good coach. There are some coaches who are so bad that, metaphorically, they wouldn't even know how to make cereal. (See Thomas, Isaiah)
he has a ring, took his team to 2 Finals in a row, and has a 23 game winning streak.... yea... he sucks as a coach....
Phil Jackson is a genius of a coach. Gets the best potential out of his players and consistently wins.
look at where the lakers are...and where the Heat is.. the lakers are barely in the playoffs..is their talent level that low? no..but that's where coaching comes in.
He's a great coach. Granted he has superstars, but it's not easy to manage those egos and get all of them enough touches. Compare the Heat to the Lakers. He's also not afraid to standup to a superstar. Remember when he and Wade looked like they were going to fight the other year?
Its too easy to say he's average with X's and O's. Watch more Heat games. There offensive sets and defensive schemes are championship quality.
this team is obviously getting better from year one to two to now. who get's the credit, i was going to start a thread on how no one gave this team a chance to gel (although they get fault for talking rings before they stepped on the court). there is a lot to be said for playing together for a while
Erik Spoelstra has become an outstanding championship level coach now that he's had an opportunity to learn from Shane Battier.
Lebron joining force with Dwade broke the underlying NBA rule, and it's the first time top 2 players at their prime collabrate with each other. Everyone else is just enjoying the illegal ride - Check the plus-minus for a lot of role players on Miami team...
I agree with you. A perfect example is the Stockton/Malone Jazz. However you better make sure you have enough talent or you end up like the Grizz this season or the Hawks.
Mike Brown won coach of the year won 60+ games multiple years and he got fired the next year. I think players are more important than then coach.
dude your spamming or you are not funny. seriously bro, i have a high post count cause i'm opinionated but you have become down right irritating
