Morey has also confirmed that this is impossible. An interview Morey did with Zach Lowe after the Sloan conference this year, Morey mentioned Parsons asked them if they could change his contract and Morey said the rules don't allow it.

I clearly said cybrex may have misheard the executive. Cybrex hasn't stated that's the case. He is adamant Parsons is soon to get paid.

Also keep your D&D schtick in the D&D. No need for yelling 'troll'. Just explaining to cybrex that he is incorrect. This was clearly relevant to others as they asked for an explanation.

You guys are right! I sit there and have a personal conversation with them. I am not there doing an article or reporting.

I do know for a fact Chandler DID in fact tell me that. I promise hands down.

In this secret forum will people hate on me and call me crazy names? haha

If not, I am in... I thought about getting a few of you guys here on an email list and send out things I hear/know going on in the league. Not just Rockets related. It takes too much work and effort though :)

Any inside info on the reason Knicks didn't give Lin any offer in the first place? Do they really want him back? Or they don't really see him in their future plan? Dolan's ego?

Honestly, I prefer Doc Rocket's cryptic posts instead of this poorly worded, vaguely plausible crap.

The knee injury really scared them. They felt they got the most bang for their buck with Felton. Also worries about how everyone healthy would work together.

Someone with the Rockets told me Lin just NOW is almost 100%.

    Andrew Bynum

    Cyberx,

Do you know if the Rockets will take a chance on Andrew Bynum this summer?

Restructuring Parsons's contract this year (or next) is impossible.

However, while your statement above about making Parsons a RFA after next season would also be impossible based on my prior article, I have since come across some new information that actually makes this a possibility.

When I have time, I plan to restate and revise my prior Parsons article to incorporate this new information.

(basketballholic, there is no way you could have possibly known this information, so I will NOT give you credit for "figuring it out" this time. :p )

So, did the Rockets negotiate a team option for the final year of Parsons' contract like they did with Budinger?

THX. Felton was at Dolan's July 4th BBQ. So I guess NY's plan is to sign Felton cheap, scare off other teams with"we'll match any offer" statement then sign Lin cheap.

BTW is it common for a player to take almost a whole season to get back 100%? Lin's injury is less serious than Rubio/Rose/Shumpter's. But again I'm not an expert.

Put me on your email list dude. It's a shame that some posters on here can't see the real deal.

On another note, I have no doubt these conversations took place. But it does need to have perspective. That being that there may and probably was a lot of things left unsaid. Some of those things Morey may not tell ANYBODY until he actually does them. For instance, Paul and Howard. Mark it down, Morey is going to make a play for both of those guys in tandem. He's not going to tell anybody, probably not going to leak. And we all know it is a long shot. But if you know Morey and know how much he loves Chris Paul and how much he values Dwight Howard...you have to understand he's going to make a pitch for teaming up both guys with Harden FIRST before he does anything else. We shouldn't need verification from some sort of insider for that. It is obvious.

    Cyberx,

Of the current players on the Rockets excluding Harden, based on your conversations with various people there, how do the Rockets informal rank the order of the players by value/upside? Specific comments about each player are absolutely welcome!

From people in Bynums circle I heard that Bynum is going to give Phili the best chance on a discount. He feels guilty for what happened.

    Lets see what happens.

That same person also shared with me that Bynum doesnt really care about basketball. He just doesnt do it at all for the love of the game, but for the money. He is more worried about cars/girls/computers. He really is a nerd... haha!
