Hmm...just speculation, but if one was to do a private poll of the team you may be right.:)

He's not the problem, Lin's been playing well so there's not enough minutes for him to really deliver.

Harden's D fluctuates. Solid at times, unacceptably bad at other times. He seems OK for the most part in terms of on-ball D, but loses his man off ball way too often.

Honestly couldn't care less who is named leader or if we even have a leader as long as Harden continues to lead the team to victories.

I've always thought the leadership thing is kinda overrated a bit.
give me talent any day of the week over leadership.

I hope this isn't true for the Rockets sake but Harden is starting to look like Monta Ellis 2.0. A guy who is lethal on the offensive side of the ball but doesn't move the ball well and is one of worst defenders for his position. Obviously Harden is better but they're both kind of in the same mold. This would be terrible for the Rockets as they're paying him max dollars.

Just for numbers sake here Ellis's and Harden's best seasons
FG% 3P% FT% RPG APG SPG BPG PPG
    .450 .371 .855 4.7 5.9 1.9 0.4 26.2 - Harden
    .449 .338 .753 4.0 5.3 2.2 .4 25.5 - Ellis

In order for Harden to be a true superstar he needs to improve his defense at least to the point where teams aren't targeting him on the defensive side of the floor.

But you need a good leader to properly direct your talents to ensure the team is properly optimized to win. HINT: McFail:grin:

Maybe. Also awhile ago Parsons tweeted after a win emphasizing the team play which I kinda took to be a jab at Harden ISO ball. If Parsons (or anyone on the team) has a problem with someone they need to talk it out instead of tweeting cryptic messages.

Could be, but hard to know until another year or two in. Also, another max player to put a check on Harden's "max" ego, if any, might be a good thing.

Just realized this is the first time this season Lin has put up two 20+ point games in a row. Hope he can keep it going.

Harden is literally nothing like Monta Ellis.

Good for Lin, but this could mean a nice blowout or his team is bricking and losing big.

Just a bunch of missed shots snowballing to a loss on a b2b game against a potent gazillion screen running team. Happens. I'm not too worried about it, as long as D-Mo is mentally fine and continues to shoot and post up, and the team stays together instead of trying to do their own thing. Our defense needs work, period. Our backcourt got outrun all over the court and their shots were going in. Let's flush this one and get the next one!!

It's all about mental toughness now and it's typically not something that youngsters are good at, but I believe! Go Rockets!

Wasn't it? I must be tripping, lol. I watch so many games over again that I must've gotten confused. No wonder Lin played well, haha.
Anyways, GSW got up for today's game, we didn't. Use it as fire, and move on.

You sure do like spamming the same stats over and over again.

Horrible game today. GSW got their revenge after all the times we have beat them

Chalk it up to a lack of killer instinct...

REALLY hope this is not the case.

Monta dominated the ball and stifled Curry's development in the backcourt. Once they shipped Monta out Curry blew up and is now ranked among the top tier of PGs.

Harden has far higher BBIQ than Monta and is so far much more efficient. Monta regularly averaged #1 or #2 in the NBA in terms of FGA per game, Harden only takes about 17 per game.

Don't think Harden will be another Monta, he just need to scale back the "superstar" ego a little bit and put more effort into defense.
