Wow... Parsons goes 2-13 and you guys are jumping on Harden about his defense. The Rockets only scored 78 points. What good was better defense by Harden gonna do? Maybe they score 100 instead of 108...lol. And was he holding Curry and Thompson by himself or something?

And no one could hit a shot in the first half. Greg Smith was the leading scorer at one point. And the bench was horrible. Slow starts in the first half have been killing the Rockets lately.

No shame in losing to these guys. Just have to win the next one.

You are going to have nights when you can't shoot it but to come out lethargic, like you don't want to be there is not acceptable. PERIOD. And this is what happened. GSW out hustled us all over the floor,Just flat outplayed.

    Hey, Sunny boy.

Good teams and good players need to shine consistently and win games after games. Having some moments is not enough.

This is what I like to hear. Expect Parsons to take his frustration out on utah.

yup, our championship hopes for this year are threatened.

seriously our chance of winning the championship this year with the per-trade team was like less than 1%. our chance now is not substantially different but our future chances have improved. this is how moreyball thinks and I tend to agree.

I totally believe that we are playing below what we are capable of. There have been a few instances where we have consistently ran screens (just a FEW) and it was a beautiful thing to see how the offense flowed. It's really frustrating, because I think Morey has assembled a cast of some decent players.

They actually do though, D-Mo shoots a high % around the rim, and likely even higher when his back is to the basket...but he gets about one post touch per game.

You could still run plays to get open shooters, the Warriors did that all night...

Lin and Harden are the best back court in the NBA....Lin has been the most consistant shooter on this team for 2 months....we missed shots....NOT LIN...parsons, delfino and dmo gave us NOTHING for most of the night....

But pon bad shooting nights guys have to d up...harden does not do that

you can't have good offense everyday but you can play good defense everyday. it's simple and plain. it's the reason ppl say defense wins champions.

Yeah this frustrated me. McHale did the same thing to Patterson. Ppatt was killing it in the beginning fo the season from the midrange & on the pick & pop with lin then McHale pushed him out to the 3 point line to improve our spacing. That affected Ppatts shooting so then McHale brought him back in. Don't turn Dmo into solely a stretch 4. Let him post up. Those are easy shots. And D-mo can likely handle it. He has been practicing against Asik who is as strong as concrete.

Aside from Lin, Harden and Delfino, we had no offense. Players like DMo and Robinson were net negatives.

Way too many 0's in the box score.

I don't think McHale really sees our starters as all true starters which probably warrants him going with whoever is hot. Harden is probably the only guy he sees as a true starter in hindsight. That makes sense seeing that the team is young. It's McHale's choice but I still understand and don't underestimate how important it is to play your young players even when the going gets tough and they're not playing so great but however McHale says he wants to win sooooo he's going with who he sees as hot. Double whammy.

From what i've seen in D-Mo and T-Rob, they are at least serviceable in the post, granted they get a play run for them and they can go one on one. But one silly TO, or a mistake on a rotation will get them pulled out of the game for good, yet our starters do this frequently. McHale is not letting them learn through mistakes in-game and because of this, we suddenly have no depth.

As far as I can see, we have never questioned the effort and motor of the young 4's(Smith is another story >_>).

I'd rather die with them on the court, making mistakes, fouling out, instead of getting blown out, or making miracle comebacks vs D-league teams because we get hot streak going.

I'm not sure what statistics you are referring to. I guess I can just refer to Hollinger's PER. If you go with purely statistics to define him as an elite player, than I would argue Brook Lopez, with a lower USG, is more elite than Harden. Even Tim Duncan, at his old age, and with even a lower USG than Lopez, is more elite than Harden.

Harden is definitely in good company, but "elite" is after all a subjective judgement. At this point I can only compare him to TMac in his prime, and Melo in Denver. Harden is in the MVP is a great recognition of what he's done for this team, but that to me does not make him "elite". Chris Paul and Tony Parker deserves the MVP talk alot more than Harden does.
