Well, there's no point in arguing that for Millsap. He attempts .6 shots from 3 a game. Wouldn't call him a 3 point shooter.

Let's see.... The Rockets need a small forward who can space the floor by shooting the 3, who can drive, pass and who can rebound. The best player who fits the bill:

    Lebron James!

Yes it is a dream but so is getting Love. Show me anywhere the Wolves have indicated Love is available. The only way they are willing to give up on Love is if it's pretty obvious he is not the same player after the injury or he continues to get injured. Look how long Portland stuck with Oden. I suspect the Wolves won't wait that long but they are not giving up on Love this early. At this point they would want Harden for Love.

I think if the Wolves continue to lose, he will ask to be traded. He is good friends with Harden and I could see him wanting to be traded here. I'm sure we'd have some good young talent and picks to offer in exchange. Maybe either Smith/Millsap as well.

    Just speculation, though.

That's the point I was making though. A lot of Millsap's shots are midrange, which is not exactly the type of offense we are playing. The stretch fours are pretty important in the system we are running.

Yeah, still a pipe dream... but I can hang on for a bit longer: wasn't given the 5 year max and Pekovic is going to be looking at a big payday.

If love to get love, it makes me laugh when people claim he is injury prone after breaking his arm

I think you're underplaying the value of that PHX 2nd round pick - likely to be in the 34 - 36 range. If you want to reduce salary for a go at the top free agents (and potentially fill your cap) you might want a 2nd round pick to help you fill out your roster with cheap cheap contracts - see Parsons/Greg Smith/Beverley. Some of those can come from the DLeague, but others (usually with higher potential) can come from 2nd rounders.

It's clear we need an upgrade at PF, I'm all in for a 1 year rental of Millsap, pay him whatever he wants for 1 year

You can bet Millsap will NOT sign a one year contract when other teams will surely offer 3-4 year. Neither will you if you were a player at your prime.

All Long shots - Howard leaving LA to come here, Love getting traded here, Aldridge getting traded here. So what's left is Milsap and Josh Smith..nasty. Seems like a bad time to have cap room to sign someone really good.

I don't think teams can sign international TV deal on their own, or can they?
