No excuses. None. If the Rockets want to be in the playoffs, this is a game they need to win.

 

Contain curry, and this game is ours. Having watched the few times we played them, they do not match up well with us. David lee will get hi usual numbers but will also give up his usual numbers. Harden vs curry, advantage Harden

 

same here his midrangej was neraly perfect... never seen more beautiful and reliable shot in my life...besides hes the one that saved us the season speaking out loud and calling out harden isoball during 7g loosing streak that woke up us...

Yes and no.

The Rockets did use Elevator Doors to start out the first game in Golden State, however the Rockets don't really have the personal to run it on a consistent basis and it makes little sense running it for guys who are not at their best coming of screens.
Even a pure shooter like Delfino really isn't at his best coming off screens -- spotting up is where he excels.

Also, while I like the decoy post-up/iso set the Warriors run, it primarily creates mid-range jumpers, which is perfectly fine if you have great shooters like Curry or Thompson. Again, though, such set just wouldn't suit the Rockets personal.

Now, the Rockets do run "comparable" sets and there is some playbook overlap between Rockets and Warriors. Both teams utilize Pistol, Loop and Horns Flex every now and then. Both teams also use Double Drag (see video below) in early offense, though it's more of an afterthought wrinkle for the Rockets, whereas the Warriors go it fairly often.

There's also some overlap in the sideline out of bounds plays and some of the pick and roll settings are (near) identical.

I expect a tough game from the Warriors.

We're 3-0 in the series, we beat them down to tie the NBA 3 point record, then followed it up with another beat down after they talked smack on Twitter.

They've been in a downward spiral ever since.

They'll really want to bring it this time... that said, the 6th seed is within reach, so I expect the Rockets will bring it as well.

Should be a really good game either way.

Jackson has invented a new killer double-screen play called "The Elevator" for the Warriors with great results in their recent games.

Hope McHale has already noticed that and drawn a counter play against that.

 

As long as Eremy Lin and Haren does not show up, we win.

 

This is McHale we're talking about. I don't hate him like a lot of posters here do but he's one of the least X's and O's coach in the league.

 

Huge game. Glad we have home court advantage on this one. Crowd could play a huge part in it
