Westbrook, Parker, ect would annihilate Lin. Steven A Smith needs to start watching games, not box scores. Lin is a above average defender.

exactly. The Rockets play run and gun offense which means they get off shots quick, which in turn means the other teams gets the ball more often (than if you played half court all the time) and your players have to play more defense.

Plus being a high scoring offense, it forces the other team to lockdown or try to score pts with you, which means you got to play more defense.

Don't matter, minus the Rocket Knick games SAS probably hasnt even watched any rocket games.

Knicks are a joke right now and SAS dont know what to say. The team was cool with Carmelo being a chump cause they were winning early. Now he's leaving the games and no one even bothers to look at him when he walks past the bench and to the locker room.

I dont blame them, this cat has a strained knee or whatever and won't even come to the home games to cheer them on for 3 hours?

I just found it really funny how devoid of logic that statement was. I also laughed because Felton is scoring 14.5p (13.9 FGA) w/ 5.7 assists & yet according to Stephen A he is more of a pure PG than a player scoring 12.9p (10.7 FGA) w/ 6.1 assists. Rocket fans & commentators are screaming at Lin to look for his shot more & stop passing up wide open shots & Knick fans & commentators are telling Felton that he should shoot less & pass more. And yet Felton is more of a pure PG. I don't think Stephen A knows the definition of a scoring guard & a pure PG.

SAS is the perfect example of and the original LOH. He's not even a LOFH, he's a true to life racist LOH. He's a Rob Parker protege and is butt hurt about JL. He'll find any excuse to dump on him and he only supports non black athletes who are ELITE SUPERSTARS--players even he can't spin as not good. SAS is garbage and I LOVE how much he has to suck it as JL and the rockets get better and better and the Knicks progressively eat chyt.

SAS what a joker! Anyone who can get Harden in their team is lucky. By having Harden doesn't specifically make JLin any better it makes the entire team better! So i guess Westbrook was extremely lucky to have Harden and Keven Kurant...ohh and CP3 with Griffin...oh wait Tony Parker with Duncan....I can go on....so for JLin to be a proven PG he has to play for a **** tier team with no superstar??

I like to do a PG swap and see how those other PG play without Harden in houston also. I'm sure they will get annihilated too!! Yeah those PG are soo good they will win games on their own...get real...even Lebron James needs a good sidekick.

Rondo is out yet Boston is doing better? What gives?? it's all about team depth.

PG success is limited to team depth...You can only do so much as an individual player.

I love Harden but how does having Harden make JLin any better? He's not really making plays for JLin? Call me stupid but isn't it the PG who is general? Yes having Harden takes away a lot of the pressure and that goes vise versa...but the actual fact is it takes away more of JLin game because he is not the main ball handler.

Oh....GREAT...now the LOH will start bringing out stats, EFF etc...

Actually, late last year when the Rockets played the Spurs, Harden
    didnt play.
Rockets lost in OT but Lin scored 38 points, though Parker did get a triple double.

    But far from an annihilation.

    SASmith is an idiot.

I agree that Stephen A Smith's analysis shows he doesn't do anything beside box score watch and occasionally see some highlights. The real rub on Jeremy is his consistency. There are nights that Jeremy looks every bit the part of an all-star caliber guard. The problem is that there are nights he looks like a D-league caliber guard. And that applies to both his offense and defense.

I hope as much as anyone that he finds a consistent level of play that is closer to his ceiling than to his floor. It's just that his floor and his ceiling are so crazy far apart that it's hard to figure out where he'll end up in between. If he gets a consistent jumper (~35% every year from 3), competes on D, and can finish a little bit with his left, he'll be a very good PG in this league.

Lin>>>>>Fatty man Felton. Tired of watching that bum play and getting burned by every PG he comes across.

sas can suck the puss marsh melo's swollen knee and get chubby Azz Raymond Felton's balls out of his mouth. Gonna enjoy the geriatric Knicks getting bounced in the first round.

yea i agree. I grew up in NY, and they're still my #1 team even though I moved away.

The papers always said Woodson's thing against Lin was that he shot the ball to much and he wanted his PG to shoot less, distribute more. Felton isn't doing that, but to be fair to him his shooting numbers are a little skewed because when Melo/Amare are out he has to shoot more becuase other than JR Smith, and Novak from 3, no one really puts the ball in the bucket.

Remember, Smith plays to his audience. I don't know if they love him any more in Rucker Park than they do in Iowa City, but it's in Rucker where he goes jock-sniffing.

Chris Rock summed up the Lin situation:

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/chris-rock-tweets-jeremy-lin-knicks-351180

"If linn [sic] were a 23 old black kid who came straight from high school and had tat on his neck that said thug life and happened to score 38 points on the lakers I don't think anyone would question his contract," Rock wrote on Twitter.

    ----

And remember when Screamin A. Smith dumped on Bullard to hype up Dee Brown in that contest on ESPN, about 8 years back? Poor Bullard didn't have backup to scream the voters into submission as Smith did for Brown.

This guy sums it up well (although, to be fair, the black guys tend to back up the black guys, the white guys tend to back up the white guys; but if it must be said, I'm relentlessly white and wish Calvin Murphy would get another shot as a commentator for the Rox):

    http://rmaly.blogspot.com/2005/03/stephen-who-bullard-robbed-in-dream.html

Stephen A. Who? Bullard Robbed in 'Dream Job' Attempt
Borrowing from the “I’m-the-smartest-person-in-the-world-and-everyone-else-is-dumb” writing style of Stephen A. Smith, I’m going to say right now that Matt Bullard was robbed.

Bullard was so much smoother and so much better generally than Dee Brown in the ESPN “Dream Job” competition, that he should sue somebody for finishing second.

Bullard, a former basketball player at Valley High School, Colorado, Iowa, the Houston Rockets, a team in Greece and probably in a few YMCA noon leagues, was voted off the “Dream Job” show last night—meaning Brown will become ESPN’s newest NBA analyst.

Yes, that’s the Dee Brown who used bad grammar on the final show of the series.

Yes, that’s the Dee Brown who didn’t have nearly the polish of Bullard.

If Dee Brown is what Stephen A. Smith and other folks want on their NBA telecasts, that’s what they’ll get.

I guess SAS expects to see Lin to be 'isolated' like the uncle drew kid in Cleveland. As good as he is , they are not even smelling anything close to the playoffs. How about John Wall from the Wizards? Same, and those teams are in the EASTERN conference.
Yes u can have spurts and flashes of wins with talent, but it's not going to be looking good for playoff contention.
