Nah... Parsons was tripped by Ridnour at the same time, if you watch their feet carefully.

Sad, that Parsons didn`t managed to strip Hardeb basketballshorts, that would be funny as hell :eek::grin::grin:

    Cmon guys

This is cherry picking at its worst. You're like a lawyer selectively quoting a deposition. McHale lambasted the team for its first half performance but complimented them, notably harden and Lin, for the second half turnaround.

I thought it was a funny and honest interview all around. And accurate. He gave major credit to lins defense in particular in the second half.

    Very enjoyable game.

Harden & Lin in the 3rd, Delfino and Smith in the 4th.

first half of the game was unbearable - turnover after turnover and poor defense/defensive rotations. I was at the game and it was frustrating to watch. The second half was a different story. You could see the players hustle on defense and give an actual effort. I know D-Mo didn't have a great game, but he drew 3 charges, one of them on a fast break so he is definitely learning.

On a side note, it was sickening to see Rubio flop around all game. Towards the end, when he was guarding Harden and Harden got called for an offensive foul, someone in our section yelled out "Rubio might as well wear a dress!" lol. made my night.

I think something people don't talk about enough with Lin is his defensive potential. He has very good lateral quickness and above average strength for a PG. Also good at steals. I really think he could end up being a borderline elite defensive player, to go along with all his offensive potential. When you consider that, I think he's without question a guy the Rockets should stick with and let him blossom. He could be a legitimate all star at some point

I think you're looking too much into it. My interpretation is that Coach wanted to praise Jeremy so he brought up how Jeremy went from a poor first half to becoming the defensive catalyst in our comeback. That wasn't a backhanded compliment. Coach is just telling it like it is.

Lin does not have good lateral quickness. In fact thats his weakness, guarding quick PG's. Any LOF can tell you that.

Lin does not have good lateral quickness for a normal sized NBA point guard, but for a guy who's 6'3", 200, he has pretty good lateral quickness. He's starting to compensate for this when guarding quicker point guards by conceding their advantage, keeping them out of the middle of the lane, and funneling them into Omer, while at the same time trying to strip them as they drive by him...
