If we get Dwight, I seriously doubt we keep Asik. Too much $$ for a backup, and too much value to not use him to upgrade elsewhere.

I can see them getting a solid PF out of Asik. Center's a limited around the league, and like you said, his value is so high. I can see a potential sign and trae also with an FA for Asik.

If the Rockets get Howard, they will have a starter at every position with young depth at every spot except SG and SF. Asik is only moved for a better player. If the Rockets get another team willing to trade the better player (maybe sign and trade), sure.

Asik against 2nd teams would be devastating. Asik, Robinson, Anderson, and Beverley would be like a check line with either Parsons or Harden in. It would take a very good player for the Rockets to give up 48 minutes of rim protection

Send Dwight back to his natural position of power forward. He played of for 2 seasons in Orlando

Also, this may be obvious, but the person told me the team is making a lot more money than in years past. The revenue sharing is making the teams more profitable. When Comcast decides to fix things, then there will be a lot more $$$ as well. They mentioned that the Lakers TV deal has helped everyone and that Dr. Buss wanted to share some of that deal with the rest of the league and he did.

Josh smith maybe 4 years, 55 mil at most

Millsap I could see them offering 4 years 45 mil at most

With both those guys, don't they save some money coming here via taxes? Or am I wrong?

It appears PPat is locked in for three more years, the last one being a team option. Isn't that a bit too soon, to be worried now about overpaying a guy in 2015?

Sam Smith is know rumormonger. On the other hand we have little history about cyberx being correct with Asik offer, but he refuse to provide concrete numbers on how much Lin makes for the team. Anyways, we'll found out this offseason about Smith/Milsap.

Because that's a tough question to get a concrete answer on.

Did you ask your source if Francisco Garcia is part of our long-term plans?

The Rockets have said many times that there is little financial advantage to the team for having Lin or even Yao on the team because all merchandising goes into a league wide fund and is divided equally among the teams.

Garcia has a TEAM option for 6.4. There is no way he stays at that price... Just no way.

TV deals... Ask DAVE, aka Clutch... When I see him in the locker room ask him how big the international presence is in the locker room. At times there is a lot of Argentinean stations there as well covering the Rockets, not just Asian.

    1. Why didn't you bring up Chris Paul?

    2. Could you tell that the only interest Morey would have in Bynum would be on a 1-yr contract or some kind of low guaranteed salary deal with the ability to waive if Bynum can't play?
