Don't you think all NBA coaches would rather coach experience veterans? I think McHale is one of the only coaches that can actually keep this young group on track, I could see a lot of other coaches giving up a long time ago. McHale is good for this team.

I don't blame him, but he's subtlely making excuses for losses and crediting himself for wins like most coaches would do.

Well figure out what to do then instead of using it as an excuse for the losses over and over again.

I think he was just saying that a young group of guys are not expected to win a lot of games. It wasn't a jab. It wasn't asking for a pay raise. Honestly, it is the truth though. Inexperienced young teams are not expected to win as much.

How do you explain the first half/second half difference?

I on the other hand thinks this team would benefit from a coach who sees the value of youth and leverage their strength as opposed to one who sees it as a liability. Morey is a guy who believes in young talents and probably devised this brand of bball and 3 ball because it plays to our strength and gives us the highest probability to win with our current roster. Anyway, I think Adelman would have been the perfect fit as a coach for this team. This team is more like his Sacramento Kings than the roster and system he had here with Yao.

For one, I definitely don't think its some magic words from McHale that turned things around. How about the fact that Wolves is just a sucky team who got hot for a half and couldn't maintain it for the full game? and that Harden got hot?

Durant is in his 6th season in the NBA, it's not a long time but its longer than any of our starters.

And it happens to the best of teams. I don't want to jinx us, but I don't remember getting completely blown out in too many games this season compared to how many teams we blew out of the water. Only few games comes to mind. Winning one game and then getting blown out next, now that would be inconsistency. Night in and night out, the team plays hard and at least from my POV one of the more consistent teams around. We just need to close out games better especially against teams with worse record.

I like Adelman, I liked him a lot when he was here but he's been a downer this season with his team. He's not giving any encouragement to the guys still out on the court, instead focusing on the guys that aren't. I want a guy that still has some fire in him no matter if we are tanking, McHale's doing something right and his pep talks seem to help the team win and that's all I care about.

Umm.....How about you don't tell me how to post and I won't tell you how to, OK?

I write what I feel. No one's shaming me into anything. It's unfortunate if that's happening to you.

    Peace out.

Love that ending "I'm out of here"

Thanks, nice to see him smile and give credit to the guys. You have to give him credit for not taking credit when we win while blaming the guys when we lose, that's consistent at least. Interesting quote: "Adjustments are overrated" where he basically said it was just hard work and it doesn't matter that they changed things a little bit. He really things it's that simple, which sometimes it's through. With so many media dissecting every aspect of the game, it makes you think it's more complicated than it really is. At times and this sure was the case last night, it's just a matter of working hard and playing with energy.

Did he really say, "Adjustments are overrated" ?....Was it sarcasm or McHalespeak?

If so, he's fallen down another level in my confidence in him as a coach.

I'm glad the Rockets pulled together for the win. What's funny is the reasons they won are primarily due to adjustments.

This team would be unbelievable with a veteran coach. :)

We are more like the Thunder 3 years when they lost A LOT. Turnover prone, inconsistent and still figuring it out. NONE of our starters have ever started a full NBA season. They have never played a full season together. Harden is younger that Westbrook. Remember that.

I just cant understand the "hate" on the coach here. Rox are looking at playoff while being one of the youngest team, and before the Harden trade, a team looking likely to be 30 win team.

You cant teach talent, but a good coach definitely knows how to harness it.

Very nice post by OP. Of course the tone of the thread gets worse later. I'm feeling good after this win. A lot of people still whining. Sorry about your unhappy lives, people!

I really like McHale's personality but he still makes coaching decisions that are questionable.

As far as harnessing talent, he has a LOT on this roster, the question is if he is making the most of it and developing it or just blowing it all at random.

Shame people that understand we are a young team and losses are to be expected and that the coach does what is probably best for us (better than we all know) are the minority on this board now. Different story a year ago, LoF's.

It is a lot more complicated than the media makes it out to be, and a lot more complicated than McHale made it out to be. The major adjustments are made and talked about before the game and in walk-throughs. By the time the game rolls around, if you have to change everything you're doing and make major adjustments, you failed the preparation stage.
