I've got a Ruger P95 and i enjoy it. Alot of glocks you get are going to be lightweight. A ruger is heavier and a little bulkier. It really depends on your preference really.
I think that's my best option. I'm going to go rent a couple at a gun range and see what i like best. Thank you all for the help
You can purchase the one with the larger/upgraded grip for like $10 more. I own a CZ75 and HK ($800) something. My cousin had a Glock 19 and I think the Springfield is better than all three.
The difference between a .40 and a 9mm is not much. The only real big jump is from a 9mm to a .45 I prefer more ammo to tad bit more stopping power. If you want the stopping power, just get a .45

Is this for home protection against an intruder? If so, I'd get a shotgun. If the sound of the gun being racked doesn't scare off the intruder, you'll have no issues with the stopping power after that.... Many people can't aim a handgun worth a crap, either, so the shotgun helps a lot in that area, too. Plus shotguns can be cheaper, also...
yeah, if you want to be deaf and blind while defending your home. If the intruder isn't walking down a narrow hallway, you are at a disadvantage. 4+1 battling a 16+1 isn't always great. plus the reload times and the low amount of ammo in the weapon isn't really that ideal for home defense. Plus, I don't want a spray of pellets going beyond my intended target which is a potential for collateral damage in a home. Not to mention the length and weight can play a huge factor in close quarters combat. A .357 can be just as devastating as a shotgun, and has many more advantages. If you are looking for an overpowering gun.
Glock 26. Load it with critical defense rounds. Small, easy to handle, easy to maintain, ammo is cheap. That's what's in my car.
Funny that the things on your mind with an intruder is limiting the collateral damage to your home. lol. Why are shotguns limited in ammo anyway? Seems like after all these years there would be a solution to that problem?
