    Damn brah, that sucks.

Maybe we can have Lin fans do the same whenever we're on the road. They be errwhere.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in Houston is not anywhere near as bad as Pacers/Hawks games were, right? I know we hear random cheers for the Fakers when they are in town but mostly the homecrowd is always pro-Rocket when we play them, right?

Glad that we have some away games that feels like home games because of Lin fans

He was calling out Pacers fans for not showing up, something that's been an issue all year long for Indiana. But if you want to interpret that as some kind of compliment towards your front-running, bandwagon Laker fan brethren I guess that's cool.

Correct. The worst it ever gets is 70-30 still in favor of the Rockets. And that's when SAN, DAL, OKC, LAL, LAC, NYK, MIA come to town and the Rockets are already out of contention.

Are the visiting fans vocal? Yes. But not to the extent of IND or ATL.

yeah the Rockets crowd is never that bad. And when it's a close game the crowd gets loud against the Lakers to shut the Lakers fans up.

When the Hawks were shooting free throws to win the game against the Lakers, there were LOUD boos.

The professional leagues are all about selling products. Would you rather be a Laker KB24 fan or a Pacer fan? Doesn't really matter where you live. Superstar driven league.

    Pacer fan any day.

I can't stand lakers fans. When I hear Lakers fans in the TC, cheering and booing the Rockets free throws, I die inside every time.

Actually it does. Some people actually enjoy going through the ups and downs of rooting for a team in their city or the city where they are from. It's a much more satisfying feeling in the end than rooting for a team 2,000 miles away because they have a player you like.

That's how it was when the Lakers played Atlanta the other night.

Well that's the case anytime a big time player comes to Atlanta

The Pacers Fieldhouse actually seems more alive than i can remember at any time over the last decade. But the Lakers fans are always going to be there in large groups. The only way to avoid that -- have 90%+ of the seats sold via season tickets. But that's not going to happen.

The thing is that most of those fans aren't from Indianapolis, they are travelling. They are driving from all over the place - Cincinnati, Louisville, etc. The Lakers are the biggest basketball franchise in the world, Kobe has a ton of fans and it's always going to happen. This isn't 90s, you can buy a ticket online and do it months in advance, if you live 100-200 miles away you can easily take your family to see Kobe once a year.
It's similar when the Bulls come to town, too. To a far lesser extent - the Heat.
    It's not going to change.

So George Hill needs to stop complaining here. And he has to look at himself. All of them except Hibbert (who was in foul trouble) played soft last night. Help defense wasn't at all at the usual Pacers level and on offense they were settling. Atmosphere isn't an excuse for that.

YOU say it's more satisfying. However, satisfaction is different for different people. I happen to be a Rocket fan in Houston, but the reason it is satisfying to me is not because I live here, but because I'm invested. I grew up rooting for them. That does not necessarily happen anymore. Plenty of people grow up rooting for a team out of their city. I don't judge anyone for that.

Seasoned fans appreciate the legacy, new fans appreciate the star power. Lakers are one of those teams that gets massive ticket sales even when they suck, based on the legacy thing and more importantly being in LA. W/ Kobe, that homecourt advantage pretty much spreads everywhere

This is what happens across cities in America when kids are spoon fed Lakers, Celtics, and Heat through ESPN and other Media. If thats all you see as a kid growing up on TV , then it is no wonder.
