Miami might tie our 22 winning streak this Sunday. Let's all talk about it in hopes of jinxing them. Ironically the Celtics are playing them on Monday. I believe they were the ones who broke our streak. Will history repeat itself? Dun dun duuuuuuuuun.
Who cares about a 2nd place streak? Shane Battier has a chance to break the Lakers' first place streak record now that he has a better supporting cast and a better franchise.
Easy to break winning streak records when you have the luxury of just telling the players to give the ball to Battier and get out of the way.
I would hate if they do but if they do beat our streak, I hope they go all in and beat the Lakers one as well!
Records are meant to be broken. Honestly I don't care. Not going to say I want them to do it, but if they do it.. ohwell. If you're not first, you're last.
Miami is worthy of breaking our 22 in a row record. There will be no shame being behind the 33 in a row and whatever Miami ends up as. Both teams are playing at otherwordly levels with all-time greats in their teams. What makes our 22 in a row so awesome is that both our superstars kept being in and out of the lineup and it was mostly the role players that kept it going at crucial points (Novak 3 point game winner, nearly 40 year old Deke with huge rebounding/blocking games, etc)
our streak is more special, no one expected us to go on that streak, our team was full of role players with our stars injured, the heat are capable of doing this
At least no one is calling this 22 win streak a record like I've been hearing. Newsflash dummies, lakers hold the record. Tbh, dekes double piece sign and smiling was my greatest memory from that moment. The NON record, not so much.
I'm glad they are breaking our SECOND-PLACE record. Its time to stop the trend of mediocrity on this team and stop holding onto records that don't even matter.
Don't worry guys. We'll have an 82 game winning streak and win a championship in one season next year.
