OK everything you said is wrong. Everything. The Rockets have a much better talent on the roster in D-MO than Millsap or Josh Smith. The Rockets are happy with their coach. The backup center position is well handled by D-Mo or Smith. Try harder next time.

No lmao they have Rubio and Pek and even if they lose Pek they have no PF now. Assuming they lose Pek I think maybe Asik and Parsons. dwight is not coming in my opinion. Any trade involving Asik and Lin to the wolves would have to be at LEAST a 3 team trade.

my recollection from over the summer is that the op is a lakers troll who may or may not have some connection with a player agent and basically comes here from time to time to fish around for a fans' view of proposed player transactions

    Sure you can dream.

If cyberx is correct about Lin's marketing profits, come on bros do really think Les going let DM trade him. Lin might be untouchable.

This just proves most Rockets fans have NO clue how the new CBA and cap restrictions work. Teams will not be allowed to go over the cap without severe repercussions. Is Les suppose to do this for an middling nba player? Smart teams get rid of players before there past due dates or when they cost more than their production. Patterson was about to reach that point entering free agency. No doubt it hurts us defensively this year (I think the offensive impact will be minimal at best), however, even though he was a glue guy he did not provide the much needed rebounding at the 4. The Rockets probably felt that we could still make the playoffs and get something before we would inevitably lose ppatt to some team who chose to overpay. They also feel that Dmo is ready to get some time at this level and will grow into a good player....he certainly seems to have the attitude for it.

D Mo is good but inconsistent. The Rockets are challenging him to put on some mass and see if they can depend on him long term. The rockets are a type of franchise that really want to see your commitment and threshold limit.

Smith would be a great PF for this team.
With the slashing and the off the ball movement. He's a player that doesn't need the ball 247 to create. He's great off the ball and can create the space that Harden needs.

    Lol I love it.

Lin has more fans then the entire population of the United States of America. In Asia alone. I know Lin has fans in Latin America, Europe, New Zealand and elsewhere but - thats impressive now that I think about it.

Free agency happens for all free agents at the same time, and you don't have to waste days haggling over the numbers with Dwight since he's guaranteed to get a max contract. If Dwight says he wants to come to Houston, you just don't sign Millsap.

Millsap & Smith are good pieces to add to what we already have. They are not worth trading away Asik/Lin.

On top of that, he's not exactly lighting it up from 3.

    Cyber,
What is the kind of money the Rockets will offer to Smith/Millsap?
