seriously? You're going to do that now? lin is an excellent floor general. without the top lottery appeal, you have 2 talented point guards. one will woo you with his dribble dribble pass the other one will counter with the no look. cuteness factor, both are equally cute as kitten. you detractors need to grasp to some reality every now and then. And yes, was a big rubio fan since his spain days and what he does is under-appreciated in this era where shooting guards are cross dressing as "point guards" shooting 18 times or more.

It could be just me but Lin sure seems like he's controlling the floor out there awfully a lot. BTW, I thought that to have a pg who fits Harden, they'd have to be good from 3? Or now cuz Lin seems to be hitting the 3, are you saying vision is what's most important.

internetgasm as big as you've ever seen. Collective circle jerks nobody ever had a problem with and pushed to participate in.

News to me that Lin isn't a floor general.

Lin's court vision is ridiculously underrated on this board. A lot of these passes he makes are very hard to do. For example he had this one pass where he was on the baseline & he passed behind his his back to Greg Smith. When Jason Kidd used to make those passes they called it eyes on the back of his head. Lin's vision is terrific. How many times have you see him get to the paint and make a drop off pass tight around the hip of a help defender- high level tactic.

And for all of Rubio's great floor general ship the Timberwolves offense runs best when he is off the floor than on because the wolves play 4 on 5. I love Ricky don't get me wrong but his inability to score the ball is a massive liability. He finishes 48% at the rim. Asik 60% at the rim. Lin 62% at the rim. They are both about the same in regards to rebounding, defense, passing, steals, turnovers etc give or take a bit. So yeah Lin all the way.

I personally love McHale. The guy is awesome. I just have issues with some of his coaching decisions. Not all of them, but there are some glaring issues that stick out to me.

I should have held out on typing that but that is my opinion. Thats how I feel the trajectories of both players will go.
I never said Lin was a bad floor general, but he over dribbles the ball behind three not doing much or picks his dribble up too soon. Its an innate ability imo. He is between average and good at the moment. I won't sugar coat anything.

And I think Lin is better in terms of quickness as well.

That's a horrifyingly low FG% at the rim... jesus... that's worse than John Wall.

I didn't say court vision, I said floor general. I mentioned my point in the post above. Most of it has to do with him being too hesitant and unsure of himself.

Speaking of your stats, is that this season with Rubio missing that large chunk? If so I don't need to stress the importance of sample size and factors to take into account due to injury. JJ Barea is a pretty good scoring PG imo, he gets underrated if anybody.

Lin said in the video, not much was discussed during the half time.

Oh no doubt, I do too. But he gets way too much hate for all that he has put into this team this season.

btw, roxxy I completely agree with his lack of scoring being a liability I said that before. My point is that he still has the chance to be something VERY special. I always got on all the scouts jizzing themselves over him but some of it is warranted.

This might be a decent post if it came from anyone prior to 2012. It's not your fault or anything, but if you became a member of clutchfans this year and you mention Lin, it's obvious that you are here for Lin.

Where are Harden-only fans? He's a lot more interesting to talk about than a rookie PG who is inconsistent and therefore not worthy of star-player badges.

I like Lin, he is getting better, but his fans don't seem to improve. Not at all. They all seem to be one trick ponies that don't watch much bball.

Good way to talk about Lin on game thread, and without being inflammatory. I disagree with you, but didn't want to blow raspberries at you. If only everyone could disagree that way every time.

Disagree they are both about the same athletics wise

Rubio FG% the last two season was 52% & 53% so yes still pretty bad. I thought it was universally recognized that Rubio struggles at every aspect of scoring including finishing at the rim. Rubio's entire sample in the NBA for his career has been awful FG% at so many spots on the floor.

    Worse than Omer Asik LOL

Fair enough. You are entitled to your opinion I just disagree. I agree Lin does pick up his dribble to soon at times needs to work on it. Already there have been improvements from last year, he losses the ball in traffic a lot less & there are times where I am sure he will loose his dribble but he doesn't. But this is definitely an area that still needs work.

And do you mean dribble the ball behind the three point line where he is trying to create a mismatch for Harden? Because the Rockets do that a lot particularly this game I saw it repeatedly. That is a good thing. That isn't him being unsure that is both players playing off of each other?

Now that you are right I do think Rubio is a better floor general but I would still take Lin over him. Rubio is to much of a liability out there on his court because of his awful shooting & scoring. And this is coming from somebody who loves Ricky.

Face it nothing is more interesting than talking about Lin....we all know it! Also, like Lin we don't need to prove anything.... A win for Lin is a win for the team and vice versa.....:)
