Haahahha indeed, someone should seriously ask him: What if the coach is doing a horse**** job, do you think he needs to be told? :p

McHale doesn't know he's doing a horse**** job, Les should tell him after this Minny game, win or lose.

Lol no, glad the team won, but the team wasn't ready to play against a team they should have blown out.

I'd rather have a coach that holds players accountable on D. Just my opinion though, you can disagree if you want.

By this logic, should Popovich be fired because the Spurs lost by 24 to the Wolves a few days back?

However, teams that can make a come back like that proves a lot for the playoffs.

No, but you can't deny that our defensive problems have not got any better since the beginning of the season, and if the players aren't responding, then maybe they just need another form of motivation other than McHale.

The Spurs aren't consistently bad on D, they'll have a bad game here and there because they also have alot of youth on that time, but at least Pops will sit players if they're not giving the effort. Big difference.

Maybe, maybe not, but i'm not attacking anyone else in here.

If you don't like what i'm saying, then give your opinion on his coaching and why this team has not responded, other than being young.

I don't know. Teams that do a lot in the playoffs prove a lot for the playoffs. The regular season is just that. It's why I have such good memories about the last playoff run we had, when we took the Lakers to 7 games. Nobody expected us to be there. I mean no one expected us to make it to the second round at all, and we gave the Lakers a real scare. You couldn't predict that from the regular season. Sure, we had The Streak, but even with that, not too many folks expected the Rockets to do anything in the playoffs that year. It's why making the playoffs is such a big deal. It's why you'll see people here dismiss some regular season accompishment with a comment like, "Let's see them make the playoffs and get out of the first round, then we can talk about what a good season they had." And I can't argue with them.

I still have misgivings about the McHale hire, and Alexander getting rid of Adelman. That's one reason I'm so eager to see us make it to the playoffs. Besides the obvious thrill of just finally getting back there again, it'll give us a real good idea of just how good a coach Kevin McHale is. I've praised the guy a lot lately, and defended him a lot lately, but I'm a member of the jury who's still pondering the verdict. I just hope we get there so we can see what happens. The coach and the players both have a lot to prove. I'm looking forward to them doing just that.

+ The Lakers swept us during the reg season that year. Although people say that w would have gone further with tmac, we did better because we didn't have him. Our defense was key that series.

I think we awe'd everyone that season. Definitely good memories.

In the last two years, we struggled making comebacks. This years is different, its not so much about the skill of the comeback as much as it the heart and determination of a comeback. That is what I mean about what it proves for the playoffs.

Just at least getting there would make me happy. If they don't get past the first round, it will just make them hungry to get further next season.
