It's not about Westbrook > Lopez (if it was, they did it right). It's more about Westbrook < Lopez + Harden + Green + Maynor. They would really have been complete with that squad, but hindsight is 20/20, and they still may win a title, and in that case, there can be no wrong move.

All non-2012 LOF's should know Rox history, could have had Jordan, Hakeem and Drexler in the first 2 years of their careers, on paper, u r talking greates dynasty of all time. But, all 3 of those players won titles, so the right moves were made, and no one knows what those players woulda turned out to be if they played with each other.

dude the thunder would be the favs to come out the west if they had lopez. a scoring big is whats keeping htem from being finals locks.

    starting pg
    harden
    durant
    ibaka
    lopez

that's a sick starting lineup. a solid bench too with maynor, collison, thabs, and someone else

Everything happens for a reason. Detroit could have drafted melo, wade, or bosh back in 03 and probably would've won multiple ships after the 04 title. OKC isn't in a bad spot.

Did the Thunder not make this guy sign a nondisclosure agreement? Why are they letting him air company business in public?

if OKC had drafted Lopez, they'd have already won the championship already. The only reason they haven't AND NEVER will is because of Westbrook.

You think he's worth a max contract?

In other words, you think he's one of the league's elite?

He is one of the best centers in the league.

    Admittedly, he's no Perkins.

For all the flaws of Westbrick, I still put Westbrick alongside Durant instead of Lopez. Its a PG league now. I take a top 5 PG over a top 5 center anytime.

The only guy worth laughing at is you. Lopez is making max contract. You think he's on the level of LBJ, CP3, DH etc?

Anyway even though I think Lopez should be paid half he's worth he would have been way more effective in OKC with Harden, KD and esp. Ibaka, who would have complemented his strengths to a T. Right now OKC's biggest problem is they are an inferior version of Miami, they have all of Miami's weaknesses but they're worse at every spot, LBJ and Bosh can play C/PF at the playoffs and abuse Perkins and Ibaka's offense.

LOL what are you saying? A pg-led team (ie. pg making the max and undisputed main man) has never won a ring in the last 20 years. In fact LA, Miami and Dallas all just won a ring without a superstar pg.

The only reason you'd call it a pg's league is there are so many good-to-great pgs available it doesn't make sense to offer a pg a max contract (except for historically dominant pg like CP3), when you can get somebody else 80% better at half the cost.
