Whether the pics are real or not, why the F is Kobe posting them? It is clearly a desperate plea for attention to build up the dramatics for when he makes an early return. It's the same thing as when it's "leaked" to the media about how he's suffereing from this ailment or the other (the same thing every player in the NBA goes through without having to broadcast it to the world). The guy has been a narcissist and a drama queen his entire career and is especially playing it up this year to compensate for the disappointing results. I promise you, this is one huge marketing effort and a lot of you guys are lapping it up.

For a person who hates him so much you seem to follow his every move. STFU and get over it. Just like you like to b**** about him, he also has the right to do whatever the hell he wants to do.

I enjoy watching the Lakers because the NBA is entertainment and they provide the drama that fuels this soap opera. But I'm dumbfounded that you guys are buying for even a second this so-called crippling injury, given Kobe's history of fakery.

I saw what was "reported" by Kobe, which is hardly reliable since the guy is obviously trying to paint himself as the picture of toughness.

Look, it's pretty simple. If you have a serious injury, you can't play, and that has very little to do with pain. A "severe ankle sprain" -- as reported by Kobe and his media outlets -- means that the ligaments in the ankle are torn, resulting in instability of the foot. You can put as much ice and wrap on that and it isn't going to suddenly make the foot mobile because the parts holding it all together are broken.

So if Kobe is miraculously able to recover from this "severe ankle sprain" in a day or two, then we can safely say this whole thing was overblown in an attempt to portray his as a heroic warrior or even some kind of messiah figure who can heal himself just on his sheer willpower.

Personally, I hope he does play and tries to have his version of Jordan's "flu game" because he will fail miserably.

Apparently you didn't watch them suck when Nash was the primary ball handler earlier this season. They turned it around when Nash played off the ball and Kobe handle the rock.

When people mention Kobe's age... honestly this kind of stuff is what he is too old for. Its always parading his injuries to the media.

LOL. He's gonna pretend to limp all game (especially on defense), but the pain will magically subside during random drives or fadeaways. He will forget to 'limp' at least once or twice, realize his mistake, then proceed to super-limp for the next minute until he's sure it's caught on camera.

Yep, this is spot on. He'll grimace dramatically whenever he's at the FT line or there is a stoppage in play. If the Lakers are getting blown out, expect him to have to go to the lockerroom for "treatment". This is all standard phony-be.

Not a Kobe fan boy at all, more of a Lebron fan boy. Just tired of seeing the same posts everywhere.
