If true, this organization is such a ****ing joke. You don't pull the stunts they did -- letting their own FAs walk without as much as a legit offer, picking up Reed in private jet, publicizing every angle of the pursuit -- unless you're virtually sure you can get the deal done. I hope NFL network is wrong, but if they aren't, we have a front office that is absurdly gullible and borderline incompetent.

Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider Ed Reed is leaving the Texans' building, per source. Interest remains heavy between both sides. Source says it's all positive. Ed Reed has other responsibilities to attend to as well as his free agency trip to Houston, source says Tania Ganguli @taniaganguli Can confirm, Ed Reed has left the building. #Texans John McClain @McClain_on_NFL Nothing done today with Reed. He left Texans offices with one of his reps. Agent checking round NFL. Albert Breer @AlbertBreer The Texans have confirmed that Ed Reed's visit there is over. Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora Ed Reed hasn't signed with the Texans, as his visit concludes. Still ample mutual interest. Could be other trips ahead
Honestly...there's no time to eff around. Go sign a safety. You absolutely have to have one. Go get one you won't have to pay $7 million/year for.
Considering how often the Texans play nickel and dime packages I think it is foolish to say you don't think of that spot as a starting spot.
It's already been done....quite funny, too. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>I painted the Texans logo on the side of the LeBaron in an effort to woo Ed Reed.Just Armor-all'd the interior too.</p>— Fake John McClain (@FakeJohnMcClain) <a href="https://twitter.com/FakeJohnMcClain/status/312247960400453632">March 14, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
What an embarrassing situation if we get Bodden"ed" again. Thats why you don't go public without a deal in place. Enough of this, I like Ed Reed but we need more than just a safety. Ed Reed leaves the building, Brice McCain and Darius Heyward-Bey better on their way to the building
There is one already. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Blog titles are still rolling in. Lot's of good selections.
