You're going to have a great time. Mahogany Bay in Isla Roatan was a lot of fun. That is, if you're looking for bars on the beach. I wasn't looking for anything cultural, so the private island was fun. Snorkeled, then came back to the beach bars to have a blast (was on spring break).
For what, a Scientology talk? EDIT: DAMN IT, Xero... Haha, that's funny, man... BLUE plastic bags?!?!? Who would take their pets who need their poop picked up on a crui--oh... OHHHHHhhhh... GOT IT.
I have been to Roatan and Cozumel before. I have never been to Belize. Looking forward to going as cruises are fun unless you get in a situation like the Carnival Triumph went through.
I've been on every major cruise line and Royal Caribbean is easily the best one. Carnival was fun, but with the recent string of events, I'd stay away for a while.
As I said earlier, we booked Carnival before all of these issues. I would like to get our money back and go to Royal Carribean, but I don't think that's gonna fly as Carnival's refund policy sucks. At the very least, I think I'm going to call Carnival and ask them to make up the difference in what we paid and what the prices drop to after this most recent fiasco.
Just tell them you're going to webcast the whole thing, including smell-o-vision, so they better their **** straight!
Not to derail this thread but now a 4th ship is having trouble. lol Micky Arison's business is going down the toilet. http://www.cnn.com/2013/03/15/travel/carnival-problems/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
We just got back from a Disney cruise and it was better than I expected. There were less kids running around unsupervised than any other cruise line that I have been on. Disney does an excellent job keeping the kids busy and separating them from the adults and the adult areas. The various clubs for kids and activities for kids are open until 1 AM. We went on Disney because we have an 11 month old baby and they really cater to kids big and small. For babies they have the nursery, they provide cribs, diaper genies, etc...I am not a Disney fan but it was fun seeing the characters, the shows, fireworks at sea... Unlike other cruise lines, Disney does not have a casino. So if you're into that then go with someone else but I liked it. There were no smokers, no drunks, no crazies and the service was top notch. Definitely worth the higher price that they charge for the fare. Also, they have a huge movie theater on board showing new movies in 3D. On our trip they were showing Oz the Great and Powerful among many others
