Can anyone confirm that these are our picks?

    1st. 27th
    2nd. 25th
    3rd. 27th
    4th. 27th
    5th 27th
    6th. 27th
    7th. 27th

What are we possibly looking at for compensation picks?

Is there a specific date they'll announce the compensation picks?

There are no compensation picks in the NFL.

Yes, that's the order barring any trades. Even though the Texans pick 25th in the second round it is still considered the 27th pick. The NFL counts the Cleveland and New Orleans picks even though they are forfeited.

The Texans should receive one, two or maybe three compensatory picks. Those will be announced next week at the owners meeting, most likely on Monday.

They usually announce the compensatory picks a couple of weeks before the draft.

Texans "should" get a third and either a 5th or 6th. Nothing guaranteed, nothing certain until it's announced.

Hmm...maybe so. I won't expect anything too high.

    Lulz...

I've never known exactly how they were awarded, but definitely have them.

They will most likely get a third for Mario and two or three sixth rounders for the others.

Negative, we're only going to get 2 because we signed free agents

hopefully mario is a third, as it should be. He signed a HUGE contract and did play pretty well down the homestretch.

To clear up a few things about comp picks (although I am no expert):

    1. Comp picks are rewarded based on your free agent losses on a NET basis. Therefore, if you lose a Mario Williams level player but then gain a Wes Welker level player, it is possible you wouldn't even get a comp pick.
    2. You can receive a max of 4 comp picks
    3. Comp picks are only rounds 3-7 at the end of the round (although I cannot confirm this, but they never award higher comp picks)
    4. The total amount of comp picks awarded will always be 32 (although they can be distributed to any number of teams)

We signed minimum contract guys (Donnie Jones, Ball, James, Forsett). They don't count in the formula for compensation.

Texans got the highest compensatory pick...3rd round pick 95. They also got a 6th rounder, pick 201.
