Yeah i posted a tweet earlier and now i just see a bunch of tweets of this info blowin up. pretty cool to see
i'm going to bed now, hoping to read great things in the morning.. nothing like waking up to espn reporting on houston business...
It was done to change one game, possibly 2: check Reed's record against the Patriots. He's one of Brady's favorite targets. Give credit where due - this is in direct response to arguably the two biggest loses in 2012-3. And I love it.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>One person in know said it's "50-50 at best" that Ed Reed signs in Houston. A return to Balt. still possible. SF and IND loom as longshots.</p>— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) <a href="https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/312488310738132992" data-datetime="2013-03-15T08:59:53+00:00">March 15, 2013</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Sounds like a definite to me, but Ed Reed plays and lives unpredictable-style..,he is such an anti-Brady, anti-Peyton player. Even these QB s hate, hate throwing in his area. Very few defensive players that have a history of success against these 2 teams/QBs.. That is what we need to move forward.
If this is true, the Texans will end up looking like clowns with all the tweeting and pictures they put up.
Per PROFOOTBALLTALK.com The man who had two tickets to paradise took a private jet to Texas on Thursday. Via John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Texans owner Bob McNair sent his private jet to bring Reed to town for a visit. “This is classy, man,” Reed said. “This is southern hospitality. It’s a great feeling.” The better feeling for Reed is that interest exists for his services. The Ravens have been lukewarm at best, and no one else has been banging down the future Hall of Famer’s door. Reed seems to realize that the chances of returning to the Ravens are slim. “It’s definitely tough, but after 11 years, you pretty much understand things about the business,” Reed said. “After leaving a program like Miami and being around the great people in Baltimore, I think the transition [to his next team] will be all right.” As the first week of free agency has unfolded, a strong sense has developed that the Ravens simply don’t want Reed back. One factor could be his role in the near mutiny that unfolded during the 2012 season. A more important reason is the assessment of his current and future abilities. And so the Ravens are taking a page from the Texans — ripping the name off the jersey and making decisions based solely on the player’s perceived ability to play. Of course, the fact that the Texans have done that with safety Glover Quin creates the need. The need for Reed. Yeah I said.
Haha I was actually thinking the same thing when I read that tweet. Pancakes is such a blowhard. I do not understand how he still has a job. He must be doing so extracurricular activities behind the scenes.
The Texas will probably give him $6 million a year to sign him just to prevent them from looking stupid after the tweets and etc they were doing yesterday.
It is funny that in this day/age of MASS information... I believe there is far more DIS-INFORMATION than ever, which sways the public every which way before the truth is hashed out. Certainly, there are still insiders, and I'd rather have it the way it is now (as opposed to finding out "breaking news" via radio, or local news, or ESPN only), but I more generally believe a report by an "insider" to be untrue, or pure guess-work, than a real scoop.
