hey i'm objective. have no problem giving credit where and when it's due. this one came out of left field. a very un-houston sports-like acquisition. love it, and i think he has regressed from his prime far less than people think, and a fresh start will juice him up a bit more. fun signing. he's a superstar.
If the Reed deal is done, it would be the most significant FA signing in team history. Reed maybe a lil older than most, but sometimes, HOF players make others better...and having one of the all time great safeties in the game isnt a bad way to go. Go Texans...hope a deal is signed tonight...
fully agree. I think J-Jo was just as great for different reasons, but definitely not as "cool" if that makes sense Everyone should be insanely happy if this happens, and the front office should get full retribution for anything negative so far this offseason (not that they should have come close to matching Casey or Barwin anyway, so it'd really just be a decision to pay Reed a little more than Quin, which is a no-brainer in a vacuum)
The more people hype up a 34 year old Reed the more I think it's funny. Not saying he's a bad player but he is not a pro bowler anymore. He won't be replacing one either so I guess it all works out.

or you just dont want to give him his due.. ask anyone that has followed him for the last 2 years, he has been on the money.. you dont get 121k followers making stuff up...
Right? I'm fine with signing Reed. But signing JJo was a much, much bigger deal, particularly considering how bad corner play was before him. You were getting a guy in his prime....this is getting a guy who will play 1-2 more seasons at most.
This is the only thing distracting me from the camping trip I'm currently on. I hope this gets done. It's a huge signing and will do wonders for the defense and the team. I've Ben a Reed fan since he came into the league. I love his style of play and his class on and off the field. Great addition to the team (when it happens).
ED reed is the greatest safety in the history of football. He is basically one of the main reason the Ravens beat the texans last year. He might be old, but he can still make big plays.
I said it was the only thing. I've done very well to ignore work related and other news. Is there a new pope yet?
Come on. I guess I should be clear though. He's not a franchise safety anymore. There are a lot of players in the pro bowl that aren't that special. I'm just saying this signing is not a game changer. It's a spot fill and a decent one comsidering our cap situation
