I think it's pretty clear who the leader of this team is. All of you who complained how Lin won the "Who's the leader of this team?" poll by a landslide should be ashamed of yourselves.

nah you cant equate liking a dude so much you lose perspective opposed to just pure hate for no reason other than other people like him.

If people loved others so much it seems like they got blinders on, this world be a lot better place. If we had more haters who just dislike someone because other people like him....well not so much.

whoa there! Asik makes gasol miserable on offense by harassing every single shot. Gasol shoots below his average when facing the Turk.
As for lin and Mike..it's even. Last meeting, conley did so badly in stopping lin's penetration that they went with allen on lin.

I'd rather play memphis than flop city, where you automatically can guarantee that butler and billups will score 3X than what they normally do.

Let's see: on this page, before me, I see five posts against LOH's and one post responding to them. Five posts saying "no war tonight?!" Just quit babbling, you guys. From my perspective, the thread is shorter because LOF's aren't crying about the injustices of the world, McFail etc. Suppose everyone just shuts up about LOF and LOH? Then we could have five less anti-LOH posts and 2 less responses on this page alone.

What more did you expect? Honestly, Lin played a great overall game. He and Harden put a lot of effort into playing D and that led to the rest of the team putting in that effort.

The team's not depending so much on Harden anymore. That's good. He needs a break anyway.

    Pretty much.

I was at the game so didnt get to follow the thread, neither will i read through it. there shouldnt be any fighting at all. EVERYONE had a good game, everyone should be happy. Lin played good along with the rest of the team. LOFs shouldn't be provoking arguments saying "Oh the LOHs are quiet tonight" maybe because there isn't any real "LOH" that would mean someone who isnt here for the team, just only to speak against lin. which even King1 looking through his posts, has much to say about the team. along with myself who is considered an "LOH" by some here.

Just enjoy the damn win and shut up and get ready for the next game.

LOHs can be rather tame when Lin plays a good game. You wouldn't be able to tell them apart from other fans under these circumstances because there really are no LOHs....the word itself is a bit nonsensical. Unfortunately, in every game Lin plays poorly, their rather intense dislike for Lin manifests itself in the game thread...and then you get the LOH-LOF wars that go on for tens of pages.

So it's ironic seeing some posters I remember saying extremely critical things of Lin - words that go far beyond basketball skill and into hate-speech - turn up the next day and act like normal Rocket fans.

A lot of this is on Lin, when he's got the afterburners going and pushing the fast break passes and pushing to find the bigs in the paint for an easy layup... that means Harden can take it easy on the offensive end too. Lin really had the jets going this game, great passes to the bigs and running the fast breaks.

Combination of higher expectations mixed with Lin fans overrating him non stop.

This has nothing to do with the point.

Some Lin fans are claiming it is the "haters" who start the long winded back forth arguments that tend to happen here daily. One even saying it's impossible to have a decent discussion on Lin because of the haters bias. Unbelievable and completely false. One minor mention of a flaw in Lin's game brings upon the wrath of many who will not stand for it. I'm not talking about obvious hateful stuff, Im talking about legitimate criticism and you get labeled a hater because no criticism is legitimate to some Lin fans. It's absolutely frustrating.

Like others have said since my comment, what normally sets off the arguments are the "mcfail hates Lin, harden is holding Lin back, if only Lin had better teammates" bs that brings out the fans of the actual team to put the fanatics in there place. These people are then unjustly labeled haters when all they really are, are Houston Rockets fans and not player only fans.

Some people who came here recently don't realize that before Lin this board was not a daily war. People who have been around for a while see that there are not LOF's and LOH's, but maybe LOF's and LOFH's. The correct term is LOFH's.

Fans who hate other fans are absurd. I will never understand the false sense of superiority that exist among some fans in all sports.

I'm sure people aren't annoyed at LOFs because they think they are superior to them.

I agree 100%, well said. You can't compliment another player without being called a Lin hater or even give fair criticism to Lin (like is done with all players) without being called a Lin hater.

That pretty much sums it up.

    .

Yes, the team is at its best when Lin has his speed and is allowed to play PG so he can distribute the ball evenly to the other players, which gets everyone involved on both ends of the floor. Then they don't have to rely on Harden's "hero ball" iso plays. Unfortunately, Lin has trouble doing this at the end of back to back games. Part of it is Lin's stamina, and part of it is due to McHale's up tempo offense. But without this up tempo offense, the Rockets would not be doing as well as they are in the standings.

Yes it sure does seem like the "LOH" are the ones "going off".
