We always play better when JLin is the primary playmaker. Hopefully we won't revert back to "point guard by committee" - but we always seem to.

I see it differently. Tony Allen will not go off on Harden consistently in a 7 game series, and allows Parsons to stick to his assignment at SF, ie we don't need Parsons to cover for Harden and have other mismatches as a result.

Lin can also play Conley straight up, and Asik play Gasol straight up.

DMo will have difficulties against Randolph but Randolph will need to guard DMo to the 3pt line and DMo has a speed advantage.

More important, the biggest upsets like GSW vs Dallas came when a team with pace shooting 3-pointers caught fire in a series against a plodding defensively oriented team, and the Rockets have done that against Memphis already this year.

I'd rather DMo not go up against Griffin and Lin against Chris Paul (and Bledsoe is a much better backup than Beverley) nor Crawford to come off the bench going 20pts in 28 min against either Parsons or Harden.

And Memphis and LAC are the most likely candidates to finish 3rd, and we're unlikely to move up to 5th.

    Only Harden can kill harden

    yeah sure! it was pretty!
and how about that pass behind the back to Asik...how many there are PFs in the league that can do that?

Asik and Gasol are a wash? Asik is good, but he's not quite Gasol.

Talking about matching up with Memphis, personally I would put Asik on Randolph and Donatus on Gasol. Randolph would destroy Donatus in the post, but Gasol is not quite as good in the low block, and plays better at the high post. Also, Asik is great at guarding strong players that are shorter than him (Randolph), but struggles against people his size that are faster than him (Gasol).

Basically, Asik could neutralize Randolph but not so much Gasol. Donatus would get mutilated by Randolph, but might be a decent defender on Gasol.

Dmo and Lin was the best player last night. Lin came out at second quarter was the turning point of the game from losing to winning.

Good game but still surprised to see Garcia start ahead of Anderson. Anderson is better in almost every department.

    This.

Also, I'm not sure our 4 can guard their post players. Once teams start paying attention to defense in playoff, the Rockets won't have as much opportunity to score on transition, and it's always a challenge for them to score on the half court. I don't see them win more than a game against any teams in front of them.

I can see us beating the Warriors or the Grizzlies in a 7-game series pretty comfortably. LAC and Denver possibly, though unlikely. Zero chance against SAS or OKC.

I agree. The LOH'ers make it impossible to have any reasonable discussion regarding Lin and often the team. It's a shame for such a fine website.

Really hope Scola can end up on a contending team. Dude deserves better than the Suns.

The same LOHs really do make this board unreadable. Just look at this game thread. Same people that post **** about Lin in the first looking for an argument, and then they disappear when the Rockets win. It seems their only reason for existance is to troll Lin on this board.

Maybe to a point. But for Lin fans to take no responsibility and not recognize the sometimes ludicrous things said is high comedy.

Some Lin fans are just as outrageous on one side as the haters are on the other. Neither side is free of blame.
