If it were the last game of the season against the Jazz, and Utah and Lakers were tied for 8, and we were securely in the 6th seed, I wouldnt mind if Mchale pulled a Poppovich and benched Haden, Parsons, and Asik
I like it that OtisThorpe3 is trying to think outside the box. I get it. Sometimes it's good to think different. And then sometimes its just good to think. Dumb idea though. Get back in the box. At least get back on the continent that the box is on. Please don't think anymore outside the box for the rest of the week.
The Lakers may free fall IF Kobe is to be out for an extended period in the upcoming weeks. Rockets should not be in mode of tanking games, need to finish strong.
Well, I've been wondering to myself which one of my two least favorite teams I'd rather watch fail. I ended up coming to the following conclusion: Watching the Jazz miss the playoffs would be fun. Watching the Lakers miss the playoffs would be fun. Watching the Lakers get destroyed in the first round would be exhilarating. Watching the Jazz get destroyed in the first round would be boring, because they know they're doomed. All said, I'd rather the Lakers squeeze in and get nuked by the Thunder. I don't buy this "most dangerous 7/8 seed ever" talk. They have one win against a contender all year. Anyways, even if I did want the Jazz at 8 over the Lakers, throwing a game is unacceptable. And even if it was acceptable, the Rockets own position is too tenuous.
You don't believe the Lakers, with, say, Joey Crawford or Dick Bavetta heading the officiating crew, would be a threat?
I saw this dumb ass post, got so pissed and signed in here just to tell you to STFU you dumb r****ded ass! Quit posting! And GTFO!
Nooo.... cus not only is that generally stupid, but it would mean the Jazz gain a game on us too...... duh...?
Alternatively, why don't we just BEAT the lakers in the last game of the season??? That would have the same effect you are seeking. . .
I'm hoping the jazz and lakers both miss the playoffs because the dictator in his last year decides to go with a bang and only allow 6 teams into the playoffs (of course we're the 6th seed).
If that happens I think it's much more likely we're the 7th seed and are once again on the outside looking in.
we have a chance to secure the 6th seed by this Sunday and this fool is talking about throwing a game to the JAZZ, to keep the Lakers out?
