There has been way too much DH12, CP3, Josh Smith, Millsap talk that others should get some run. I list the following either because of fit or age.

Nikola Pekovic(RFA): Price likely max, ~4yr/$60mil
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/pekovni01.html

Tiago Splittler(UFA? I think he's unrestricted): Price ??? But I assume at least $12+mil to outbid SA
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/splitti01.html

Iguodala(Player Option): Price likely 4yr/$40-50mil or more?
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/i/iguodan01.html

OJ Mayo(Player Option): Price likely 4yr/$40? Probably depends on Mavs playoff run
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mayooj01.html

    Tyreke Evans(RFA): Price ???
    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/e/evansty01.html

There are also some others that may make sense, like JJ Redick or Mozgov as a backup C.

LaMarcus Aldridge, if I say it enough, it would come true.

They're probably less talked about because Morey is focused on getting a superstar.

I would love to have Iguodala on this team especially if its for the price you say (10 mill a year). He fits this offence really well, nice cutter and finisher and can shoot the three ball somewhat reliably. And lets not forget about his great defence, which would really help this team out. He is basically a more grown up Chandler Parsons, who has been to several all star games and played in the olympics I would say.

Then at that price you still have cap room to obtain another big name guy if you play your cards right... But the question is would he go for that price?? A guy who is an olympian and has been to multiple all star games and is at the prime of his career, I think he would be signed for max if not very near to it.

If we could somehow get Iguodala, praise the lord, we are set for 2013.

When the starting pg is sat, Lin or whoever, Harden can play the point for a few mins, Harden/Parsons/Iguodala will share the 2n3 's mins.

Meanwhile rent a verteran PF for a yr or 2, KG, Elton Brand etc, mentor Dmo and Drob to develop, and see what happens in '14.

Iguodala has an ETO at 16+ mil next year. If his market price is small, he's likely to wait till the next summer. I don't think he'd be available at 4/40. 4/50 maybe. More likely he just waits a year unless his agent gets a feel that the market is really generous.

Don't think there's any room for Iguodala with Parsons playing the way he is, unless you want to move Parsons to the bench which I think is a bad idea.

None of those names jump out at me except maybe JJ Redick but I don't think he's big enough to play SF.

And superstar is neither Josh Smith nor Paul Millsap nor Al Jefferson. They're more like the Asiks of the world. And we only know about Asik because of so many failed trades that didn't occur while Asik was being a little known backup in Chicago.

To be serious, Iguodala would make a lot of sense, Lin-Harden-Iggy-Parsons rotation should work in a lot of different combinations (and even get some minutes together with Parsons at 4).
Starting/bench is a non-issue imo. Especially when your star is an ex-6th man. Would any of these guys cause drama for coming off the bench but playing the same big minutes?

However, i think Iggy is more of a 3rd star player. He's someone you'd love to add if you also add Millsap or such. Or obviously Dwight.

IMO its very important to save your cap space for our 2nd core piece (Howard, Paul, Love, Aldridge or Bosh)

All these guys are supplemental pieces that should be added once you are above the cap.

If you strike out on this round of max guys, then I wouldn't lock up anyone else if it cost you the opportunity to go after Love/Aldridge in the next round.

why the heck would you give iggy the max when parsons is a great bargain and practically a fresh virgin compared to iggy? not a maury like move. not in desperate mode.

mayo coming off the bench for 2 years/14 million dollars would be nice. but somebody is going to overpay

I like Splitter a lot and feel like he would be a perfect back-up 4-5. He would allow Asik to rest significantly more. But that price tag is expensive and no way in hell SAS is letting him go.

I don't think we can afford to add expensive, non all star type players to this team and still have an opportunity to compete for a championship.

Were we to add any of those guys at those prices, it would be the last major move we could make. None of those guys is even a large upgrade to our current starters (even Iguodala, with the way he's shot this year. Yeah, I said it), and you don't pay that much to improve your bench.

We are going after Howard at full max, Smith at around 12 million, or waiting for gasol after amnesty.

I can see us getting both Smith at 10-12 million and Gasol in the amnesty auction with what ever is left of our cap.

    Asik/Gasol
    Smith/Dmo/Gasol
    Parsons/Anderson
    Harden/
    Lin/Beverly
