Are you glad that we no longer have an undersized weak rebounding PF?

Robinson actually had a good game and played better in real minutes than actual garbage time.

I think he got a bit happy-go-lucky in garbage time. Trying some silly passes and getting fancy heh, but him and D-mo are oozing with potential clearly.

Some nights it's not going to show because they are young and those nights we'll get a bump for one of these Patterson threads.

I'm a Robinson supporter, but I think he played too out of control in this game, which is a good and bad thing. The talent is definitely there, he just has to control himself.

I just don't like the way McHale subs him in there with none of Parsons/Harden/Lin. He should never be in the lineup with Smith & Robinson at the same time, no one is going to lead that team or communicate.

I don't think I'm going out on a limb to say that Robinson and DMo are going to have collectively better careers than Patterson and Morris. Also, both are rookies and therefore cost-secure for 3 years after this season.

While the trade may have cost us a couple of wins this season, perhaps even costing us a playoff spot, but no doubt it's the right move going forward..

Nice post, DD. You're part of a group of us who've been excited about Donatas since we got him. Great to see him finally get his chance, isn't it? Robinson looked terrific tonight as well. Heck, Carl's worried about the loss of Patrick, and maybe Morris, killing us at the 4 spot. Well, could be we've got some depth there after all. It's one game and it was the Suns, true, but our 4's looked pretty damned good tonight considering how little experience they have had.

Great job by Greg Smith tonight. Glad we don't have a sucky backup C tonight.

DMo won't play as good D as PatPat but offers a lot more on offense.

I'll take that plus TRobs upside.

I didn't think D-Mo was that special earlier in the season.
Hell - even just a couple of weeks ago I wasn't too impressed.

I'm happily changing my view on him.
    Love his post moves.
I appreciate the fact he's putting in work on the defensive end.
It is such a huge difference from just a week or so ago - how much better he has gotten.

It is a great feeling having two 7 footers in the starting line up.
When our C was 6'6 not so long ago.

Our two rooks are going to experience up and downs just like the majority of the other young players on this team. I hate when they have one of their bad games and people act like Patterson and Morris where consistent night in and night out. I've said repeatedly that I think Patterson was a solid player for us, but I think Morris was/is no huge loss. Honestly they both got the vast majority of their points from wide open looks created by Lin and Harden. With time and repetition, D-Mo is more than capable of taking advantage of that and he also has the ability to create his own offense.

T-Rob has shown glimpses of a budding ability to also create for himself, but I would like to see him get more time with the starters and see what type of garbage man and finisher he can really be. I dont really feel like he has been able to reap the benefit of having creators on the team like the other guys. Blame it on spacing I guess since he doesnt shoot the 3. All in all, give me the 2 rooks with higher potential who are inconsistent rather than the 2 "vets" with lower ceilings who also just so happen to be inconsistent. Good rookies make mistakes as they learn the NBA. It's part of the process and if you believe in the player you trust the process and deal with the frustration. They'll learn what they can and can't do. Give it some time.

No Carl, I wish we still had an undersized, weak rebounding power forward so that the position will be constant source of anger and frustration.

Patrick Patterson and Cole Aldrich lead Kings to 42 point win vs. Bulls. Houston only has crappy 30 point win vs. lotto-bound Suns. :(

Comparing DMo with today's Patterson is unfair to DMo. Look Patterson on his rookie year, I say DMo is already looking better than PPat on that comparison.

I am worried whenever DD loves a player's upside.
