    Houston 84, rice 62. And it was awesome to see Olajuwon, Drexler and Hayes being in attendance.


    Couple this with is being back-to-back Bayou Bucket Champs, I'd say its good to be The King of Houston colleges in sports.

    I'm a UH alum and have been a fan since '68.

    Anyone who's popping off about beating Rice and thus being "The King of Houston colleges in sports" must be a young pup. Beating Rice....who gives a crap!!!!

    Of course I want them to win, but beating your chest and popping off over a win against Rice.........let me repeat myself RICE, GIVE ME A FREAKIN BREAK!!!!!!

    While typically your response is a 100% accurate description of how anyone should feel after beating Rice in all sports minus baseball and ugly girl tossing, this is just in response to similar proclamations from an outspoken Rice alum on this board whenever Rice has one of those "broken clocks are right twice a day" type wins.

    Rice has Tamir and a bunch of walkons- feel sorry for him. He played well last night, only guy on their team that I said good game to (he looked pretty dejected but said thanks). Why did all of their international recruits all bail suddenly this season? Never got the full story.

    Also, they might be a team of scrubs, but at least they play hard. Only way for them to survive.

    A Rice team that finished 5-26 for the season.

    And one of those five wins was against UH.

    And you're popping off and beating your chest?

    I'm an alum, glad they won, but to pop off about beating Rice is just laughable.
