He was very big. I hate to be judgmental, lord knows it took noticeable complications to take care of my disease. still how do you not think to yourself that guy weighed 350 at least and probably 5'8". we shouldn't be surprised. i'm obviously not going to discuss immediately with other friends, but am i wrong for thinking it.

Depends on what was the cause of death. If it was not accident related (car crash, etc.) then I think its normal to go with obvious signs. If someone who is a smoker or drug addict, etc. gets sick or dies, we will probably assume that it was caused by what they were addicted to. Don't beat yourself up about it, just dont be inconsiderate, do you know what I mean?

I wouldn't badmouth the guy, just take lessons from his life and apply them to yours- privately.

Food is hella good. I love food. But I have the conscious that tells me I shouldn't eat the cheeseburger and instead have the ham sandwich from Subway. And that's what these extremely obese people lack. Takes lots of discipline for a food junkie like myself to maintain a constant weight..and it's not easy..but I know I have to do it.

No I am sure you are not the only one to think it.

I will just say that some folks don't think it will happen to them, others are out of sight-out of mind and some people cannot help it.

A ham sandwich is not necessarily better than a hamburger... You are ignorant.

Several years ago a friend of mine also died at age 37. He was also obese, and on top of that he was stressed out all the time due to being a workaholic. I have to admit that I too wondered whether his health/lifestyle played a role in it.

maybe the ham sandwiches YOU have aren't any different than a cheeseburger, but the ham sandwich I have sure is healthier.

Why are you even nitpicking what I'm comparing. You know what the hell I mean...

Not a bad person for thinking it at all.

It's very unfortunate, though. One of the most unfortunate things in life is people passing away away at an early age from things that theoretically could have been prevented. Not that in his case it could or could not have.

Peace be with you and your friend.

I hope it wasn't because he ate too much fudge in his McFlurry.

BTW they are both trash, and you shouldn't eat either.

But that "cheeseburger vs ham sandwich" argument is just dumb as hell

Didn't any of his family members or friends warn him about his diet and/or lack of exerciser (speculation)?

My parents always nag me about what I eat. My gf also gets on my case about what I eat, but then I convince her how delicious it is, then we both end up eating that fatty delicious food.

I apologize for calling you ignorant, that was overkill... I bring it up because I see all these people that love to criticize what someone else is eating/lifestyle and often times their own habits are just as bad and their lack of understanding of what is "better" is flawed. In the case of a hamburger and a commercial ham sandwich there is not a hell of a lot of difference. Both are primarily bread and meat, and hell ham is typically cured and can be high in sugar. The net carbohydrates are nearly identical and both typically are devoid useful substance.

Fast food hamburgers are crap, but don't feel good about stopping at Subway, as it is utter crap.. Fully of carbs, processed sugars and preservatives.

    Cheeseburger vs. Ham sandwich
    Tiger vs. Shark
    DiCaprio vs. Law

The yin and yang forever strive for one another, forever in tension, forever in opposition.
