I'm so used to having it on, I feel like I'm going to fall out of my seat if I'm not wearing it. I remember when it wasn't the law and no one ever wore one. It's crazy to think how much the culture has changed.
Or realizing it's SAFER? I don't remember any time NOT wearing it while driving. I've been driving for 21 years.
This. 98% of the time I don't even notice that I have it on after I buckle up. Just put it on and drive.
Please make us all feel better by confirming that you have not yet, or are not close to, pro-creating. You mean, how many lives have been saved, not by the law, but by seat belts right?
Plus I don't understand how it is a law to wear seat belts. Why am I being told to wear a seat belt in a car I purchased with my own money. Odd.
i wear it since its automated in my vehicle, but am against both the seat belt law and the helmet law. Down with the NANNY STATE!
Get off road where you and I will be driving, which I pay for with my own money and which is governed by laws made by people whom I pay with my own money.
Haha. Nice. The road and vehicle are separate though. Seat belts really don't affect how other people use the road. At worst, I'm only harming myself, if I'm harming myself at all.
Actually, you are potentially harming me when your lack of a seat belt causes you to be ejected, during an otherwise modest accident, and I have to swerve into a ditch to avoid running over your lifeless body lying in the middle of the road.
I wear my seat belt, but I honestly wonder why wearing a seat belt is enforced by the law? I mean if some idiot drives around without a seat belt and dies from a car crash then the world is rid of one less idiot... right?
Like someone said, your body can be thrown from the car and possibly cause another wreck. Its not like an idiot not wearing a helmet while motorcycling. They are gonna be thrown regardless, a helmet is only protecting them
