I can definitely respect that viewpoint as I share it with you. We need an elite PF and paying Lawson 12 million a year wouldn't get this team where they need to be. I.e I'd much rather have Lin, Harden, Parsons, Love, Asik, then Lawson, Harden, Parsons, Smith, Asik. No question Lin has had some great games. If he can develop a reliable jumper and a better off hand over the summer he'll fit the team just fine. We don't need him to be a superstar. He just needs to be solid and he's more then capable of doing that.
LOL....Lawson just showed CP3, arguable the best PD in the league, who's bost last night so I think let's all just take it that Lawson is a top tier talent.
Monday's stats of Denver PG Ty Lawson against the same Suns team which Jeremy Lin FAILED to win against 8/13, 19 pts, 6 assist, 1 TO Ty Lawson is much better than Lin against the Suns
Wow, and Jeremy Lin is better than Ty Lawson against OKC, the Spurs, and Dallas when he got out of bed on the right side but not when he got out of bed on the wrong side. Idiot post deserves a smack-down reply.
And of course if Lin puts up 20 and 7 tonight then this guy will graciously post Lin's line in every thread on the GARM.
lin only put up that kinda #'s once every 10 games or so... so admit it, lawson > lin. freakin homer.
so basically you're saying you rather have an elite pf than an elite pg, cause you dont mind having an avg pg with lin.
Correct me if Im wrong, I think Lawson is getting paid 11-12 mil a year right? We gotta set our priorities right, our back court is pretty good already, now everything we do should be focused on getting another foundation piece at all cost, lets not add more salary just to get a complimentary piece....as much as I like lawson as a player, he's no superstar.
woah simmer down asianballa...i was referencing the fact that this guy felt it necessary to post this in like 4-5 other threads...i was done with this thread until this guy did that
ABSOLUTELY Living in Colorado, I see Lawson a lot and I love his game, he is an improved version of Lin
Bump. Give me Lin any day of the week. Lawson is hands down the worst trade we've ever made. Nuggets significantly improved without him while we got much worse.
The best the Nuggets have been in the last decade was WITH Lawson leading them. Jerry Lin is a soft choker with no track record of anything but soft choking. Ty has a track record of success and efficiency. Obviously this system suits him poorly, but that's about it.
Ty Lawson in Houston: 8.3 ppg in 33.5 mpg 31.9% FG 25.0% 3P Jeremy Lin in Houston: 13.0 ppg in 30.7 mpg 44.3% FG 34.8% 3P
Current Ty may be the one of the worst guards in the league. Don't know what's wrong but this isn't the Ty we are used to seeing.
