It isn't racism, but a hate crime. Mississippi doesn't have hate crime laws for sexuality. The FBI is currently investigating.

You just blindly speculated that the police arrested a black guy to protect imaginary white killers.

It's a fundamentally irrational act that could be committed for any number of factors that have absolutely nothing to do with prejudice or individualized personal hatred. The racial shoe-horning in this thread is pathetic.

I believe it was likely a hate crime because the man was gay, but agree with you and texxx regarding any number of factors for the crime. That's just a downright horrifying way to die.

Where do you get that? Do you know what the word speculating means? I wasn't "blindly speculating" at all. There is a big difference between speculating and saying it is a possibility. I never said the police arrested a black guy to cover up some white guy as if it were fact. If I stated it as if I personally believed that happened, then I would be speculating, as there is obviously not enough information to come to that conclusion.

You obviously didn't read the thread or story (or just don't know how to use context clues) to understand that my statement was a plausible one given the missing information and particular, the area it happened. It sounds shady. It didn't mention anything about the guy they arrested was actually driving the mans vehicle that was wrecked and left there. Juicystream brought provided that info later in the thread.
